MacTier Cup
The MacTier Cup is the name of the championship for the top senior men's rugby league in Canada. Originally awarded to the champion of the Rugby Canada Super League (RCSL), the MacTier Cup was established in 1998 along with the RCSL. The first MacTier Cup Championship match was played between the Vancouver Island Crimson Tide and the Nova Scotia Keltics, Nova Scotia Keiths. Vancouver Island defeated Halifax in that game. The champions of the final RCSL championship were the Newfoundland Rock, who won the cup in 2008 after defeating the Calgary Mavericks 30–6. Since 2009, the Cup has been awarded to the winners of the Canadian Rugby Championship (CRC). Since the inception of the CRC, the Ontario Blues have won the MacTier Cup six times, The BC Bears have won the Cup two times, while the Prairie Wolf Pack and the Atlantic Rock both have won the cup one time. Rugby Canada Super League
The Rugby Canada Super League (RCSL or Super League) was a national, semi-professional rugby union competition in Canada. The league represented the second level of domestic rugby union in Canada, and the highest level wholly indigenous to Canada. In terms of seniority it rested immediately beneath the IRB sponsored North America 4, a former US/Canadian cross-border competition in which two Canadian teams (Canada East (rugby team), Canada East and Canada West (rugby team), Canada West) took part. Most players took part in RCSL ("Super League") on an amateur basis. In early 2009, after 11 seasons of play, Rugby Canada decided to disband the RCSL in the wake of the establishment of the Americas Rugby Championship, the successor to the North America 4. The RCSL was replaced by the Canadian Rugby Championship and the Rugby Canada National Junior Championship, which absorbed the majority of the RCSL teams. Overview The competition was established in 1998 and had been played on an annu ...

2011 Canadian Rugby Championship
The 2011 Canadian Rugby Championship was the 3rd season of the Canadian Rugby Championship. No Canada Selects team would be chosen because there was no ARC season that year, due to the Rugby World Cup being held the same year, in which Canada participated. The Ontario Blues were the 2011 CRC champions, winning the MacTier Cup a game before the season ended, having enough points to win the championship without being affected by the last game of the season, which they won anyway. It was their first ever CRC Championship title. Dean Blanks scored 55 points during the season, becoming the league's highest ever scorer, although it was the first year with more than six games a season. Duncan Maguire also set a record, scoring four tries, becoming the season's and the league's highest ever try scorer, but again this was in a season where each team played two more games than in previous years. It was the first season where a player received an individual award—Player of the Year. Pr ...

2010 Canadian Rugby Championship
The 2010 CRC Season was the second season of the Canadian Rugby Championship. This was the first year when instead of the CRC Champion advancing to the Americas Rugby Championship, a Canada Selects team was chosen from players participating in the tournament to go on and represent Canada at the international tournament. This was also the first season that included a post-season to decide the winner of the MacTier Cup. The 2010 Canadian Rugby Championship champions were The Rock, who defeated the Prairie Wolf Pack 19–8, in the nationally televised final. Pre-season There was no formal pre-season that the league put in place, so several teams played exhibition games against touring sides in order to prepare themselves for the season. 2009 Canadian Rugby Championship
The 2009 Canadian Rugby Championship was the inaugural season of the CRC, Canada's highest level of domestic rugby competition. The BC Bears won the MacTier Cup going undefeated, while the Ontario Blues finished as runners-up, allowing them both to advance to the Americas Rugby Championship. Nathan Hirayama's 36 points scored in the regular season is an all-time record for the league, during the 6 game format. The format was later changed to 10 games in the regular season, where in 2011 Dean Blanks scored 55 points, holding the current league record for points scored, albeit having played three more games. The Season Structure The 2009 CRC season included four Canadian senior representative teams—the BC Bears, the Prairie Wolf Pack, the Ontario Blues, and The Rock, playing against each other in a round-robin format, similar to that of The Rugby Championship, with the team that has collected the most points during the season being named champions.
