Maayi
''Maayi'' is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama-film starring Sarath Kumar and Meena, wherein Vadivelu's comedy performance was critically acclaimed. The film was a super hit at box office. This film later remade into Telugu as '' Simharasi'' with Rajasekhar and Sakshi Sivanand in the year 2001 and in Kannada as ''Narasimha'' with Ravichandran in 2012. The movie song 'Megham Udaithu' was shot in Mysore Lalitha Mahal. Plot Maayi (Sarathkumar) is a well-respected, do-gooder in a village. Sarathkumar Ramanathan (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, politician, filmmaker, and singer. He has acted in more than 130 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. He has won two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. Originally a bodybuilder and later journalist, in 1986, Sarathkumar started his acting career in the Telugu film ''Samajamlo Sthree''. Surya Prakash is an Indian film director who has worked on Tamil and Telugu language films. He made his directorial debut with ''Manikkam'' (1996), before making the action films, ''Maayi'' (2000) and '' Diwan'' (2003). Ponnambalam (born 11 November 1963) is an Indian actor and stuntman who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. Suvaluxmi (born 19 August 1977) is a former Indian actress who predominantly appeared in Tamil films. She also appeared in Bengali, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada films.
