Maanu
Maanu is an Indian dancer and actress. After making her acting debut with Saran's ''Kadhal Mannan'' (1998), she opted against an acting career and continued pursuing her passion as a dancer by setting up a performing arts company and featuring in dance troupes worldwide. She resurfaced in 2011, when she aided actor Rajinikanth's recovery from ill health in Singapore, and returned to acting with ''Enna Satham Indha Neram'' (2014). Career Maanu was born and brought up in Guwahati, Assam and began dancing by the age of 4. She completed her Bisharad in Manipuri and Kathak dance under the guidance of Gurumoni Sinha Singh, Guru Arabinda Kalita and Guru Hajuwari in 1992 and 1995 respectively. She then extensively trained in Bharathanatyam and performed her arangetram in 1995 under the supervision of her guru, Padma Hargopal. ''Enna Satham Indha Neram'' () is a 2014 Indian Tamil language comedy thriller film directed by Guru Ramesh and produced by A. V. Anoop. The film features quadruplets Adhiti, Aakrithi, Akshathy and Aapthi in the lead roles, with M. Raja, Nithin Sathya, N. Puralavan, Maanu and Malavika Wales also appearing in prominent roles. ''Kaadhal Mannan(AJITH)'' () is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Saran, which stars Ajith Kumar and Maanu. The film also saw music composer M. S. Viswanathan make his debut in a supporting role, whilst Vivek, Karan and Girish Karnad also played other roles. Saran (director)
K. V. Saravanan, better known as Saran, is an Indian film director active mainly in Tamil cinema. He was once an assistant to K. Balachander. He owns production house called ''Gemini Productions.'' Early life Saran's father T. Kulandaivelayudam worked with the directorate of examinations and many of his relatives are teachers. He finished diploma in visual communications from the College of Arts And Crafts and became an instructor in textile designing. Saran worked as instructor for a year and, during this time, he did some work with a lady called Mohana who was art director for K. Balachander. KB was the director whom Saran admired above all others. Saran hoped this relationship would be the key to get to him.
