MTV MIAW Awards
The MTV MIAW Awards (formerly MTV Millennial Awards) is an annual program of Latin American music awards, presented by the cable channel MTV Latin America to honor the best of Latin music and the digital world of the millennial generation. The ceremony has been held in Mexico City since its first edition on July 16, 2013. In 2020 there was no ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Millennials
Millennials, also known as Generation Y or Gen Y, are the Western demographic cohort following Generation X and preceding Generation Z. Researchers and popular media use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years, with the generation typically being defined as people born from 1981 to 1996. Most millennials are the children of baby boomers and older Generation X; millennials are often the parents of Generation Alpha. Across the globe, young people have postponed marriage. Juan Luis Londoño Arias (born 28 January 1994), known professionally as Maluma, is a Colombian singer, songwriter, and actor. Born and raised in Medellín, he developed an interest in music at a young age, recording songs since age sixteen. He released his debut album, '' Magia'', a year later in 2012. The 8th Annual MTV MIAW Awards took place on July 13, 2021 at the Quarry Studios in Mexico City. It was broadcast live by MTV Latin America. Luis Gerardo Hernández Méndez (born 12 March 1982) is a Mexican actor and producer born in Aguascalientes City. Having previously mostly appeared in smaller films and on television, Méndez shot to fame with his starring role in the 2013 comedy film ''The Noble Family'', which for a few months was Mexico's highest-ever grossing film. Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte (born 2 May 1983) is a Chilean musician, singer, composer and painter. Pedro Luis Joao Figueira Álvarez (born 18 June 1998), known as La Divaza, is a Venezuelan and Mexican YouTuber and singer. La Divaza is the second YouTuber from Venezuela to reach one million subscribers after Dross. Mexico City Arena ( es, Arena Ciudad de México) is an indoor arena in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. It hosts concerts, sports, and other events. It officially opened on February 25, 2012. Juan Pablo Martínez-Zurita Arellano (born March 29, 1996), commonly known as Juanpa Zurita, is a Mexican social media influencer, vlogger, actor and model.
