MP Da Last Don
''MP Da Last Don'' is the seventh studio album by American rapper Master P. It was released by No Limit Records, Priority Records and EMI. It originally debuted at number 112 on the ''Billboard'' Top 200 chart as several stores sold the album before its official release, but then it peaked at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart, selling 495,000 copies in the first official week. It gained mixed reviews. It was also released about the same time as the straight-to-video short film, ''MP Da Last Don''. It was promoted as his final studio album, although Master P returned to solo recording with '' Only God Can Judge Me'' in 1999. The album was certified 4× Platinum by the RIAA with over four million copies sold, making it the best-selling album of Master P's career. Percy Robert Miller Sr. (born April 29, 1967), known by his stage name Master P, is an American rapper, record executive, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of the record label No Limit Records, which was relaunched as New No Limit Records through Universal Records and Koch Records, and again as Guttar Music Entertainment, and currently, No Limit Forever Records. He is also the founder and CEO of P. Miller Enterprises and Better Black Television, which was a short-lived online television network. He is a founding member of the rap group The Click, and the founder of Sick Wid It Records. The Ghetto Commission was a rap quartet signed to No Limit Records. Biography The Ghetto Commission was formed in 1998 in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. Members consisted of New Orleans rappers Holloway (Dwayne Lawrence), G-Spade (Gary Arnold), Valerio (Walter Valerio) and singer Byron Dolliole. Steady Mobb'n was an American hip hop duo composed of Crooked Eye and Billy Bathgate, from the Ghost Town section of West Oakland. The duo were formally signed to No Limit Records & Bomb Shelter Entertainment in the late 1990s. Music career In 1995, Steady Mobb'n released a cassette EP titled ''Blood Money''. Corey Miller (born March 9, 1971), better known by his stage name C-Murder, is an American rapper and songwriter. He initially gained fame in the mid-1990s as a part of his brother Master P's label No Limit Records, primarily as a member of the label's supergroup, TRU. Miller went on to release several solo albums of his own through the label, including 1998's platinum '' Life or Death''. C-Murder has released nine albums altogether on six different labels, No Limit Records, TRU Records, Koch Records, Asylum Records, RBC Records, and Venti Uno. McKinley Phipps, Jr. (born July 30, 1977), better known simply as Mac, is an American rapper and songwriter from New Orleans' 3rd Ward. Mac began rapping as a child, releasing his debut album ''The Lyrical Midget'' at the age of 13 in 1990, under the stage name ''Lil Mac''. Mac would eventually sign with Master P's No Limit Records and would grow to be one of the most critically acclaimed artists on the label, both as a solo rapper and as a member of the super group 504 Boyz.
