Arkonia Szczecin is a Polish sports club with football and water polo sections based in Szczecin. The water polo team competes in the Ekstraklasa, Poland's top division, and with 13 Polish Championships is one of the most accomplished water polo clubs in Poland. The football team competes in the lower divisions, although it played in the Polish top division in the past. The liga okręgowa (in some voivodeship named klasa okręgowa, English: regional league) is the 6th tier of the Polish football league system. The league is split into 58 groups, and there are present in every voivodeship. Teams promoted from liga okręgowa move up to the IV liga, whilst relegated teams descend to the Klasa A leagues. The exception is the Greater Poland Voivodeship, where the V liga exists as the sixth level; the liga okręgowa represents the seventh level there. Water polo is a competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep pool where players cannot touch the bottom. Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each. Milicja Obywatelska
Milicja Obywatelska (), in English known as the Citizens' Militia and commonly abbreviated to MO, was the national police organization of the Polish People's Republic. It was established on 7 October 1944 by the Polish Committee of National Liberation, effectively replacing the pre-war police force. The Citizen's Militia would remain the predominant means of policing in Poland until 10 May 1990, when it was transformed back into ''Policja''.
