Carmen Nicole Moelders (publishing name Nicole Mölders) is an American atmospheric scientist. Her work is mainly focused on hydrometeorology, mesoscale meteorology, cloud physics, land-atmosphere interaction, air pollution, wildfire modeling, and wind power modeling. Background Moelders earned a B.S. and a M.S, in Meteorology and a Ph.D. in Geophysics at University of Cologne, Germany, in 1983, 1988, and 1992, respectively. She earned a habilitation in meteorology at University of Leipzig, Germany, in 1999. From 1999 to 2001 she has served as a Heisenberg Fellow for Physical Hydrology. The Heisenberg Fellowship is a prestigious award conferred by the DFG (German Research Foundation). Sascha Mölders
Sascha Mölders (born 20 March 1985) is a German football manager and player who currently works as a player-coach for Bayernliga club TSV Landsberg. Career After spells with various amateur clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia, including Schwarz-Weiß Essen, Mölders was signed by MSV Duisburg in 2006. In his first season playing for Duisburg's reserve team, he scored 24 goals, making him the top goalscorer in the Oberliga Nordrhein. This earned him a place in the first-team squad for the following season, and he made his Bundesliga debut as a substitute for Pablo Cáceres in a 2–1 defeat to Hannover 96. He played a further ten games in the 2007–08 season, but was unable to get on the scoresheet as Duisburg finished bottom of the league and were relegated. Werner Mölders
Werner Mölders (18 March 1913 – 22 November 1941) was a World War II German Luftwaffe pilot, wing commander, and the leading German fighter ace in the Spanish Civil War. He became the first pilot in aviation history to shoot down 100 enemy aircraft and was highly decorated for his achievements. Mölders developed fighter tactics that led to the finger-four formation. He died in a plane crash as a passenger. Mölders joined the Luftwaffe, the air force of Nazi Germany, in 1934. In 1938 he volunteered for service in Germany's Condor Legion, then supporting General Francisco Franco's Nationalist faction (Spanish Civil War) , Nationalist side in the Spanish Civil War, and shot down 14 aircraft. ''Jagdgeschwader'' 51 (JG 51) was a German fighter wing during World War II. JG 51's pilots won more awards than any other fighter wing of the Luftwaffe, and operated in all major theatres of war. Its members included Anton Hafner, Heinz Bär, Karl-Gottfried Nordmann, and Günther Schack. World War II Formed in August 1939 and commanded by Theo Osterkamp, JG 51 was based in the early months of the war in the West, fighting in the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. From late June 1940 to mid July 1940, JG 51 was the only fighter Geschwader engaged continuously against the RAF. During the battle JG 51 lost 68 pilots, the highest casualty rate of the Luftwaffe fighter units engaged. Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 74 (74th Tactical Air Force Wing), formerly known as Jagdgeschwader 74 (JG 74) (74th Fighter Wing), is an aviation unit of the German Air Force, based on Neuburg Air Base in Bavaria since 1961. On 1 October 2013, the unit was renamed in the course of adaptations to the new structure of the German Air Force. JG 74 provides air defence duties for southern Germany. The wing operates two squadrons of Eurofighter Typhoons, the ''Falken'' (Falcons) squadron and the ''Viva Zapata'' squadron.
