Mónica Vargas Celis
Mónica Vargas Celis is a Mexican film and television producer. She has produced more than ten feature films, including ''American Curious'', ''Como novio de pueblo'', '' How to Break Up with Your Douchebag'', and ''Amor a Primera Visa''. She is also a producer of ''Club de Cuervos'', the first Netflix original series in Spanish. Vargas is currently general director of production at Traziende Films, a company she founded with Leonardo Zimbrón in 2000. Career Mónica Vargas is a graduate of the Universidad Anáhuac México. ''Club de Cuervos'', also known as ''Club of Crows'', is a Mexican comedy-drama streaming television series produced by Gary Alazraki and Michael Lam. Premiering with its full first season on August 7, 2015, it is the first Spanish-language Netflix original series. The story centers on the football club Cuervos FC, based in the fictional city of Nuevo Toledo, Mexico, and the power struggle that follows the death of its long-time owner and patriarch. Demián Bichir Nájera (; born 1 August 1963) is a Mexican actor. After starring in telenovelas, he began to appear in Hollywood films. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in ''A Better Life''. Personal life Bichir was born in Torreón. His parents are Alejandro Bichir and Maricruz Nájera. Issa Laura López Lozano is a Mexican producer, writer and film director. Eleven Spanish language features have been produced from her scripts, four of them directed by herself. She has won several literary awards, including the National Novel Award granted by Mexico's Institute of Fine Arts and Literature in 2007.
