Måns Petter Albert Sahlén Zelmerlöw (; born 13 June 1986) is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter and television presenter. He took part in '' Idol 2005'', eventually finishing fifth, won the first season of '' Let's Dance,'' and scored a hit with his 2007 song "Cara Mia", which was his entry in that year's Melodifestivalen. Zelmerlöw was the host of ''Allsång på Skansen'' from 2011 to 2013. He participated in Melodifestivalen in 2007, 2009 and won in 2015. Zelmerlöw represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Heroes", winning the contest with 365 points. Måns Andersson (born ? - died after 4 December 1679), was a pioneer in the Swedish colony of New Sweden. Biography During October 1639, Måns Andersson left Gothenburg on the ship ''Kalmar Nyckel'' heading to New Sweden. He had been hired as a laborer at the rate of 50 Dutch guilders per year. He, his wife, and one daughter, Britta, arrived in New Sweden in April 1640. When a tobacco plantation was established at Upland (now Chester, Pennsylvania) in 1644, Andersson became a tobacco farmer. After the death of his first wife, Måns Andersson married a daughter of Christopher Rettel, about 1646. They established their own farm, named ''Silleryd'' in present Delaware County, possibly named after the village Sillerud in Värmland. Måns Love Sörensson (born 2 April 1986) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a striker. Beginning his career with Landskrona BoIS in 2003, he had brief stints with Ajax, Ängelholms FF, and Falkenbergs FF before retiring at IFK Malmö in 2009. A youth international for Sweden between 2001 and 2005, he won a total of 26 caps and scored 20 goals for the Sweden U17 and U19 teams. Måns Ivar Åkesson "Måsse" Groundstroem rʊndström(b. 23 April 1949) is a Finnish bass player, studio technician and music producer. He has recorded ca. 100 music albums and produced another 70 albums. Most of these albums were released by Love Records. Early life Groundstroem grew up in the Töölö neighbourhood in Helsinki, in an educated bourgeoisie family. Even before he went to school, he was sent to piano lessons, but he was not excited about classical piano music. "I had absolutely no touch for playing classical music. In fact, I used to hate that form of terror. At that time, that is." However, his father bought him a guitar, and thus Groundstroem was able to "rebel with rock music, which at the time was turning young people wild". Pelle Svanslös (English: Peter-No-Tail (film version) or Pelle No-Tail (book version)) is a fictional anthropomorphic cat created by the Swedish people, Swedish author Gösta Knutsson and a children's literature, children's book series about him. In 1937 ''Pelle Svanslös'' first appeared in a radio series, which was broadcast from a small studio in the university building in Uppsala. A series of twelve children's books based on the character was published between 1939 and 1972. The first eleven books were illustrated by Lucie Lundberg. The books about Pelle are seen as a protest against the ever more overt support seen for Nazism in Sweden during the 1930s, and as such constitute a satire on contemporaneous society. Måns Nilsson Kling or Mauno Kling was the second governor of the 17th century colony of New Sweden (Swedish: ''Nya Sverige''), which he administrated from Fort Christina, now Wilmington, Delaware. Biography The first Swedish expedition to North America with ''Fogel Grip'' and ''Kalmar Nyckel'' was launched from the port city of Gothenburg in late 1637. The expedition was organized and overseen by Swedish Admiral Clas Fleming. Samuel Blommaert, a Dutch colonial patron, assisted with the fitting-out. Magnus (Måns) Rosén von Rosenstein ''né'' Aurivillius (9 March 1755 – 14 November 1801) was a Swedish Navy rear admiral. After having served in the Fleet of the Army, Rosenstein joined the Royal Navy in the American Revolutionary War against the French. He then joined the French Navy and took part in the Battle of the Saintes where he was taken prisoner by his former commander Admiral Sir Peter Parker and was imprisoned in England. He was immediately released, returned to Sweden and would later distinguish himself in the Battle of Svensksund. Rosenstein retired with the rank of rear admiral in the Swedish Navy in 1797 and died in his hometown of Uppsala in 1801.
