Märk Hur Vår Skugga
Märk hur vår skugga (Mark how our shadow) is one of the best-known of the 1790 ''Fredman's Epistles'', where it is No. 81. These were written and performed by Carl Michael Bellman, the dominant figure in the Swedish song tradition. Its subject is the funeral of one of Bellman's female acquaintances, Grälmakar Löfberg's wife. Context Song Music and verse form The song has four verses, each of 9 lines. The music is in time, and is marked '' Andantino''.> The melody may be by Bellman himself; a very similar melody was used by Eric Lorentz Zebell, but it was printed after the Epistles. The real Doctor Blad was the Bellman family's doctor, and one of their closest friends, during the latter part of Bellman's life. Stolta stad! (Proud city!) is Epistle No. 33 in the Swedish poet and performer Carl Michael Bellman's 1790 song collection, ''Fredman's Epistles''. One of his best-known works, it combines both spoken (with words in German, Danish, Swedish, and French) and sung sections (in Swedish). In the spoken sections, Bellman, as composer and as performer, imitates a whole crowd of people of many descriptions. It has been described as Swedish literature's most congenial portrait of the country's capital city, Stockholm. The epistle is subtitled "''1:o Om Fader Movitz's öfverfart til Djurgården, och 2:o om den dygdiga Susanna.''" Doom metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that typically uses slower tempos, low-tuned guitars and a much "thicker" or "heavier" sound than other heavy metal genres.K. Evil Masquerade is a Scandinavian band formed in 2003. Their wide range of musical influences make them difficult to categorize. Evil Masquerade themselves claim to be playing 'Devilish Rock'n'Roll'. But since that is a self-invented genre they are usually filed under heavy metal by the music industry. Charles Pierre Baudelaire (, ; ; 9 April 1821 – 31 August 1867) was a French poet who also produced notable work as an essayist and art critic. His poems exhibit mastery in the handling of rhyme and rhythm, contain an exoticism inherited from Romantics, but are based on observations of real life. His most famous work, a book of lyric poetry titled ''Les Fleurs du mal'' (''The Flowers of Evil''), expresses the changing nature of beauty in the rapidly industrializing Paris during the mid-19th century. ''Visor från vinden'' (Songs from the loft) is the Swedish singer Sofia Karlsson's third studio album as a solo artist. The album was released on 11 April 2007 by Bonnier Amigo Music Group. The album is a collection of songs written by poets and musicians from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, including the Swedish Dan Andersson, Marianne Flodin, Mikael Wiehe, Alf Hambe, Carl Michael Bellman, Peps Persson, and Evert Taube. The album contains two poems from Charles Baudelaire, and a version of Boris Vian's antiwar song " Le Déserteur", all three originally French. Sofia Karlsson (born 25 March 1975 in Enskede, Sweden) is a Swedish folk singer. Biography Sofia Karlsson grew up in Enskede, Stockholm. She attended the folk music department of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. From 1998 to 2002 she was a full-time member in Swedish folk music act Groupa. In 2002 she released her debut solo album ''Folk songs''. In 2005 she made her public breakthrough with her second album '' Svarta ballader'' (Black Ballads). The album contains her interpretations of the Swedish poet Dan Andersson, named for his 1917 book. The album was in the charts for more than a year and has to date sold 60,000 copies. was a Swedish rock band from Stockholm, that existed from 1983 to 1988. History started as , a side project to the Swedish punk band , and included three of its members. When broke up in 1983, re-emerged as ; with Joakim Thåström (lead vocals, guitar), Anders "Stry" Sjöholm (vocals, guitar) and Gunnar "Gurra" Ljungstedt ( drums), all three originally from . They were joined by Christian Falk ( bass) and Per Hägglund ( sax, keyboards). Stry left in 1984 and Gurra the following year. Gurra was replaced by Fred Asp on the drums.
