Joachim Witt
Joachim Witt (born 22 February 1949) is a German rock musician and actor who has been active since 1977. During his prolific 50-year career, Witt has released 20 studio albums and a further 8 compilation and live albums as a solo artist. Early in his career, a member of the krautrock band Duesenberg, Witt released an additional three studio albums. Biography Witt was the guitarist/singer in the 1970s krautrock band Duesenberg. He released three albums with them, ''Duesenberg'' (1977), ''Duesenberg 2'' (1978) and ''Strangers'' (1979), before embarking on a solo career as a singer and actor. Witt became a major star of the German pop scene during the 1980s with huge hits such as "Goldener Reiter". He was one of the biggest names of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" (New German Wave), of which performers like Nena and Falco were also a part. René Tinner
René Lee Tinner (born February 18, 1953, in St. Gallen) is a Swiss recording engineer and producer who has produced over 200 studio records and numerous live performances. Career Tinner began his career as the audio engineer of the noted German Krautrock band Can in 1973, with whom he recorded seven albums until 1989. In 1978, he took over the Can-Studio, the Cologne-based band’s the rehearsal and recording room. Tinner managed the studio until it was dismantled and integrated into the German rock'n pop museum in Gronau on November 9, 2007, where it was inaugurated in the presence of all the Can band members and René Tinner himself. Jaki Liebezeit (born Hans Liebezeit; 26 May 1938 – 22 January 2017) was a German drummer, best known as a founding member of experimental rock band Can. He was called "one of the few drummers to convincingly meld the funky and the cerebral". Biography Early life Hans Liebezeit was born in the village of Ostrau south of Dresden, Germany. His mother, Elisabeth, was from Lower Saxony. His father, Karl Moritz Johannes Liebezeit, was the music teacher at the village school, specialising in accordion and violin, and taught both instruments to Hans, who treasured his father's accordion for the rest of his life. His father was forced to stop teaching music during the Nazi period, and died in mysterious circumstances on 18 August 1943. Hans' early life was one of extreme poverty, with no running water at home, surviving on vegetables grown in the garden, and having to walk several kilometres to school daily. Cole Albert Porter (June 9, 1891 – October 15, 1964) was an American composer and songwriter. Many of his songs became Standard (music), standards noted for their witty, urbane lyrics, and many of his scores found success on Broadway theatre, Broadway and in Hollywood films. Born to a wealthy family in Indiana, Porter defied his grandfather's wishes for him to practice law and took up music as a profession. Classically trained, he was drawn to musical theatre. Rosko Gee is a Jamaican bassist, who has played with the English band Traffic on their album '' When the Eagle Flies'' (1974); with Go featuring Stomu Yamashta, Steve Winwood, Michael Shrieve, Klaus Schulze and Al Di Meola; and with the German band Can, along with former Traffic percussionist Rebop Kwaku Baah, appearing on the albums ''Saw Delight'', '' Out of Reach'' and '' Can''. He toured with Can in 1977 and also provided vocals for some of the band's songs during this period. After the breakup of Traffic in 1974, he played in the Johnny Nash band, Sons of the Jungle.
