Monte Carmelo
Monte Carmelo is a Brazilian municipality located in the northwest of the state of Minas Gerais. Its population as of 2020 was 47,931 people living in a total area of . The city belongs to the mesoregion of Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaiba and to the microregion of Patrocínio. It became a municipality in 1840. Location The municipality is located in the region of the Alto Paranaíba, south of the Paranaíba River and west of the Emborcação Reservoir. It is north of the important federal highway Br-365, which links the state boundary of Goiásin the west to Montes Claros in the northeast. Uberaba
Uberaba () is a city in the state of Minas Gerais, southeast Brazil. It is located in the Brazilian Highlands at above sea level on the Uberaba River, and away from the state capital, Belo Horizonte. The city status was granted in 1856, and its name comes from the Tupi language meaning "bright water". As of 2021 the population was 340,277 inhabitants. History The history of Uberaba begins in 1810 when capt. Major Eustaquio founded a settlement in the vicinity of the ancient route of Anhanguera (also known as the 'Goyazes road') to serve as a stopping point for locals and travelers during the 19th century.
