''MythBusters'' is a science entertainment television series created by Peter Rees (producer), Peter Rees and produced by Beyond International in Australia. The series premiered on the Discovery Channel on January 23, 2003. It was broadcast internationally by many television networks and other Discovery channels worldwide. The show's original hosts, special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, used elements of the scientific method to Debunker, test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, Internet videos, and news stories. Filmed in San Francisco and edited in Artarmon, Sydney, ''MythBusters'' aired 282 total episodes before its cancellation at the end of the MythBusters (2016 season), 2016 season in March. Salvatore Paul Belleci ( ; born October 30, 1970) is an American television personality and model maker, best known for his work on the Discovery Channel television program ''MythBusters''. He has also worked with Industrial Light and Magic on films including '' Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace'' and '' Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones''. Jamie Hyneman
James Franklin Hyneman (; born September 25, 1956) is an American special effects expert who was co-host of the television series ''MythBusters'' alongside Adam Savage, where he became known for his distinctive beret and walrus moustache. He is also the owner of M5 Industries, the special effects workshop where ''MythBusters'' was filmed. He was an early competitor in '' Robot Wars'', but his robot Blendo was deemed too dangerous for competition. He is the inventor of the Sentry, an unmanned firefighting robotic vehicle. He is also one of the designers of the aerial cable robotic camera system Wavecam used in sports and entertainment events. Grant Imahara
Grant Masaru Imahara (October 23, 1970 – July 13, 2020) was an American electrical engineer, roboticist, and television host. He was best known for his work on the television series ''MythBusters'', on which he designed, built, and operated numerous robots and machines to test myths over the course of the show. Imahara began his career at Lucasfilm, where he worked in the THX division as an engineer and in the Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) division in visual effects. Kari Elizabeth Byron (born December 18, 1974) is an American television host, best known for her role on the ''MythBusters'' and '' White Rabbit Project'' series. Byron was born in the Bay Area, California and graduated from San Francisco State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in film and sculpture. Byron was a cast member of ''MythBusters'' from 2004 to 2014 where she was part of "The Build Team".
