Mytek The Mighty
"Mytek the Mighty" is a British comic adventure strip, appearing in titles published by Fleetway Publications. The story revolves around Mytek, a large and powerful robotic ape. The strip first appeared in the boys' anthology title '' Valiant'' on 26 September 1964. The story was written by Tom Tully and initially drawn by Eric Bradbury, with Bill Lacey later taking over. Creation Since '' Valiants inception the off-beat adventures of the Steel Claw had been popular with readers, and the addition of "Kelly's Eye" after '' Knockout'' was merged into the title proved a similar success. By 1963, both were being written by Tom Tully, a relatively new arrival who, as a freelancer, was also working on "Heros the Spartan" in ''Eagle'', then published by Fleetway Publications' rival Odhams Press. Vulcan (British Comics)
''Vulcan'' was a British weekly boys' comic published by IPC Magazines from 1 March 1975 to 3 April 1976, when it merged with ''Valiant''. The comic was unusual among IPC's weeklies for several reasons - it used a much smaller format than most of the company's weeklies and featured more colour; until September 1975 the title was only available in Scotland as the format was tested; and it consisted entirely of reprints of extant material. It was also published simultaneously in German as ''Kobra''. Publishing history Swiss publisher Gevacur had released reprinted Fleetway material with some success in mainland Europe, and co-operated with IPC for ''Vulcan'', the title being released as ''Kobra'' in mainland Europe. ''Judge Dredd: The Megazine'' is a monthly British comic magazine, launched in September 1990. It is a sister publication to '' 2000 AD''. Its name is a play on words, formed from "magazine" and Judge Dredd's locale Mega-City One. Wildstorm Productions, (stylized as WildStorm), is an American comic book imprint. Originally founded as an independent company established by Jim Lee under the name "Aegis Entertainment" and expanded in subsequent years by other creators, Wildstorm became a publishing imprint of DC Comics in 1999. Shaky Kane
Michael Coulthard is a British writer and psychedelic artist who best known for his work as a comic and graphic artist under the pseudonym Shaky Kane, as well as Shaky 2000. Biography After working for independent comics and magazines like Pssst!, ''Escape'', and ''Deadline'' in the 1980s, Shaky moved to the mainstream with work on '' 2000 AD'' and its sister title, the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'' in the 1990s. With editor David Bishop, he created the ''Soul Sisters'', and he also contributed to the ''Judge Dredd'' strip, among others. Shaky's style is heavily influenced by Silver Age American comic books (especially the style of Jack Kirby), with a psychedelic twist. Semic Press is a Swedish comic book publishing company that operated from 1963 to 1997. King Kong is a fictional giant monster resembling a gorilla, who has appeared in various media since 1933. He has been dubbed The Eighth Wonder of the World, a phrase commonly used within the franchise. was a British comic strip from the pages of '' Valiant''. The serial ran weekly from 1966 to 1970, with a brief revival as a reprint strip in 1974. The serial was among the titles reprinted in ''Vulcan'' from 1975 to 1976.
