Mysore Brothers
Mysore Brothers are Indian classical violinist duet—Mysore Nagaraj and Dr. Mysore Manjunath. They trained under their father Sri Mahadevappa, a violinist in the tradition of Sri Tyagaraja, composer of Carnatic classical music. They received the Sangeet Natak Akademi award from the government of India in 2017. Indian Classical Music
Indian classical music is the classical music of the Indian subcontinent. It has two major traditions: the North Indian classical music known as '' Hindustani'' and the South Indian expression known as '' Carnatic''. These traditions were not distinct until about the 15th century. During the period of Mughal rule of the Indian subcontinent, the traditions separated and evolved into distinct forms. Hindustani music emphasizes improvisation and exploration of all aspects of a raga, while Carnatic performances tend to be short composition-based. Ronu Majumdar is an Indian flautist in the Hindustani classical music tradition. Awards, nominations, and music collaborations In 1981, Ronu Majumdar won the first prize at the All India Radio competition, and the President's Gold Medal. He has associated with Pandit Ravi Shankar on albums like ''Passages'' and ''Chants of India''. He has more than 30 audio releases to his credit. Fabrizio Cassol
Fabrizio Cassol (born 8 June 1964) is a Belgian saxophonist and the first user of the aulochrome (a double-reed instrument). He was born in Ougrée, Belgium. Between 1982 and 1985, he studied at the Liège conservatory and "obtained first prize for saxophone while majoring in chamber music". He also studied improvisation and composition. Cassol began to tour with his first band ( Trio Bravo, with Michel Massot and Michel Debrulle). He travelled to the Central African forest to encounter the Aka pygmies, which led to the formation of the band Aka Moon. Besides, he has performed with many other musicians. He has composed music for dance theatre and in 1995 he composed with Kris Defoort the album ''Variations on A Love Supreme''. He won the Belgian Golden Django in 1998.
