The Mylan Classic was a golf tournament on the Web.com Tour. It was played for the first time in September 2010 at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The title sponsor was Mylan, a pharmaceuticals company based in Canonsburg. Canonsburg, Pennsylvania
Canonsburg is a borough in Washington County, Pennsylvania, southwest of Pittsburgh. Canonsburg was laid out by Colonel John Canon in 1789 and incorporated in 1802. The population was 9,735 at the 2020 census. The town lies in a rich coal district, and most of the town's work force once worked in local steel mills or coal mines. Interstate 79 and U.S. Route 19 pass through the town, as does the Pittsburgh and Ohio Central Railroad. A trolley used to operate from Washington, Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh through the borough until 1953. The town is home to Sarris Candies and All-Clad Metalcrafters, makers of cookware and other bonded metals. It is adjacent to the Southpointe office park located in Cecil Township, which has a number of large corporate tenants. Robert Streb
Robert Streb (born April 7, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour where he has been a member since 2013. Streb was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and earned All-American honors while playing collegiate golf at Kansas State University. He graduated in 2009 and subsequently turned professional. He is noted as a user of the ten-finger grip, which is unusual on the PGA Tour. Professional career Streb played on the NGA Pro Golf Tour in 2010 and 2011 and the Web.com Tour in 2012. John Charles Mallinger (born September 25, 1979) is an American professional golfer. Early life Mallinger was born in Escondido, California, and is the youngest of four children. He graduated from Escondido High School. Amateur career Mallinger attended California State University, Long Beach. He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the university. Professional career Early in his professional career, Mallinger played on the minitours and developmental tours. Before playing on the PGA Tour, Mallinger won two events on the NGA Hooters Tour. Gary John Christian (born 7 August 1971) is an English professional golfer who has played on the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour. Christian was born in Carshalton, England. Matthew Kirk Weibring (born December 4, 1979) is an American professional golfer. Early life He is the son of D. A. Weibring. Professional life Weibring turned professional in 2002. He played on the second-tier Nationwide Tour for several years. He also played on the Canadian Tour some during this era. In 2008, he finished 24th place on the 2008 Nationwide Tour money list earning a spot on the PGA Tour. He played on the PGA Tour in 2009–10.
