''My Red Book'' is an unreleased studio album by English singer Rick Astley. This album was originally planned to release in January 2013, but it was ultimately canceled for unknown reasons. This unreleased album contains the singles " Lights Out", and "Superman". "I Like the Sun" and a re-recording of "Let It Rain" later appeared on Astley's 2016 album '' 50'', with "A Letter" and a remix of "Sailing" appearing on the US edition. Rick Astley
Richard Paul Astley (born 6 February 1966) is an English singer, songwriter and radio personality, who has been active in music for several decades. He gained worldwide fame in the 1980s, having multiple hits including his signature song "Never Gonna Give You Up", " Together Forever" and "Whenever You Need Somebody", and returned to music full-time in the 2000s after a 6-year hiatus. Outside his music career, Astley has occasionally worked as a radio DJ and a podcaster. Born and raised in Lancashire, Astley became a musician after leaving school, as the drummer for the soul band FBI. Three years later, he rose to fame through his association with the production trio Stock Aitken Waterman; releasing the 1987 album ''Whenever You Need Somebody'', which sold 15.2 million copies worldwide. His debut single "Never Gonna Give You Up" was a number 1 hit single in 25 countries, winning the 1988 Brit Award for Best British Single.

"Lights Out" is a pop song performed by English singer Rick Astley. It was his first mainstream single in the UK for nearly 17 years. The song was performed to an audience for the first time on Peter Kay's 2010 tour which commenced at the MEN Arena, Manchester on 27 April 2010. It is Astley's first studio album in more than 10 years, following ''Portrait'' (2005). In the United Kingdom, ''50'' became Astley's first number-one album since his 1987 debut album ''Whenever You Need Somebody''. All songs on this album were sung, written and recorded by Astley himself. The album was later released on 7 October 2016 in the United States, marking his first American release since 1993's '' Body & Soul''. The album was made as a commencement to Astley's 50th birthday in 2016, hence the album's title. Singles "Keep Singing" was released as the lead single from the album on 6 April 2016.
