''My Indigo'' is the debut studio album by Dutch singer and songwriter Sharon den Adel with her solo musical project My Indigo. It was released on 20 April 2018. The track listing of the debut album was released on 31 January 2018 by Within Temptation fansite DontTearMeDown. Background After returning from Within Temptation latest tour, going through a writer's block while composing songs for their next album, and also having undisclosed personal problems, den Adel decided to compose for herself as a form to cope with these problems. Background On late 2017 and with no recent news of Sharon den Adel's band Within Temptation activities, the social media of the band itself posted that a new announcement from den Adel was coming soon. On November 10, via a video posted on the band official Facebook page, den Adel announced the creation of the project. According to her, after the band concluded their latest world tour, the singer had a writer's block and was not able to compose new songs with the band. Besides also struggling with personal problems, den Adel decided to write songs for herself in order to better deal with those said problems, in which was later revealed that her father was extremely ill. Indigo
Indigo is a deep color close to the color wheel blue (a primary color in the RGB color space), as well as to some variants of ultramarine, based on the ancient dye of the same name. Teus Nobel
Teus Nobel is a Dutch jazz trumpet player and flugelhorn player. He performs with different bands and is a teacher at Fontys Hogeschool. In 2020 he won an Edison Award for the album ''Saudade''. Biography Teus Nobel studied classical music and jazz at the Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam. Here he obtained a bachelor's (2006) and a master's degree, with a research project on the intellectual legacy of jazz trumpeter Woody Shaw. He has played and toured with the Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Caro Emerald, The Kyteman Orchestra and Frank McComb. With his own Liberty Group he performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Will Knox
William Douglas Burr Knox (born 14 January 1986) is a British singer and songwriter based in Haarlem, Netherlands. Besides his own repertoire, he is known for his work with, among others, Duncan Laurence and Dotan. Biography Knox was born and raised in Hammersmith, West London. At the age of 18, he moved to Boston, United States to study at the Berklee College of Music. After graduating, he initially worked as a singer and songwriter in New York City, but later returned to England. In the early 2010s, Knox participated in songwriting sessions in the Netherlands with Dutch singer Dotan, contributing to the hit records "Hungry" and "Let the River In" (2014). He subsequently worked with many other Dutch artists and bands, including Anouk, Ilse DeLange, Jennie Lena, Miss Montreal, Sabrina Starke and Within Temptation, and was signed to the Dutch music publisher Pennies from Heaven. ''Resist'' (stylized as ЯƎSIST) is the seventh studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. It was scheduled to be released worldwide on 14 December 2018, but later postponed to 1 February 2019. The album contains guest appearances by singers Jacoby Shaddix ( Papa Roach), Anders Fridén ( In Flames) and Jasper Steverlinck (Arid) and was produced by their longtime producer Daniel Gibson. It marks the longest time gap between the band's studio releases, the last one being issued in 2014. The album followed the band's pattern of incorporating new musical elements on each release, this time featuring more electronic, pop, and industrial influences. "Firelight" is the third single from Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation's seventh studio album '' Resist'', and features guest vocals from Jasper Steverlinck of Arid. It was released worldwide via digital download and streaming on 23 November 2018. Background "Firelight" is a ballad song originally composed for Sharon den Adel's solo album My Indigo. The song was at that time considered too dark to fit the release, and then was put on hold. After meeting Jasper Steverlinck on a flemish tv show, den Adel invited the singer to do a part on the song as she found that they had a real connection and their voices matched well together. After some reworking, it then ended up appearing on den Adel's band Within Temptation seventh studio album Resist official tracklist.
