''My Dog Vincent'' is a 1998 comedy film written and directed by award-winning writer and filmmaker Michael McGowan. Plot The film is centered on O'Brien (played by Chuck Campbell) and his friends, Wiley and Harper. These three twenty-something young men still live at home, and are looking to expand their horizons in life and love. This coming-of-age story is weaved with their hobbies and interests, both existing and new, one of which is an obsession with Vincent Price. Michael McGowan (director)
Michael McGowan (born April 14, 1966) is a Canadian filmmaker who wrote and directed the feature films ''Saint Ralph'', ''One Week'', ''Still Mine'', and '' Score: A Hockey Musical''. Early life McGowan was born in Toronto, Ontario, but graduated from the University of North Carolina with a BA in English. Career Returning to Toronto he became a journalist, writing for publications such as ''Quill & Quire,'' ''Toronto Life'' and ''The Globe and Mail''. He then joined the TV industry, helping create the stop-motion children's TV show ''Henry's World'', and then wrote and directed ''Saint Ralph'' in 2004, for which he won the Outstanding Achievement in Direction award from the Directors Guild of Canada and the Writers Guild of Canada award for Best Feature Film. Charles Campbell (born 5 August 1969) is a Canadian actor who portrayed the role of Chuck the Technician on ''Stargate Atlantis''. Early life Campbell was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
