My Animal
My Animal (1998) is the debut album by American rock band Boy Hits Car. Background In 1995, a Baltimore-based independent label booked Boy Hits Car on their first national tour—six weeks straight performing nearly every night. During this time the band decided that no matter what the cost, they would try to make a lifestyle out of performing their music---music they eventually dubbed 'Lovecore'. BHC continued to write, record and tour until 1997 when they landed a deal with a Texas-based independent label. They recorded their first full-length CD---'My Animal' which was released and distributed in 1998 through NMG music. After only a few weeks, they lost their distribution deal but the band pressed on. The song "Mr. Loh" is about real-life Malibu man Eugene Loh, who would often do calisthenics on the beach while naked. Boy Hits Car is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States, which was formed in 1993. Biography The band was formed in 1993. After releasing their first album, '' My Animal'', independently in 1998, they went on the Sno-Core Tour and recorded their next album, ''Boy Hits Car'', on Wind-up Records. Their song "LoveFuryPassionEnergy" was used as a theme song for WWE Hall of Famer Lita and was distributed on the ''WWF Forceable Entry'' album in 2002. A third album was self released in 2005 called ''The Passage''. In 2006 the band re-released the album in July after signing with Rock Ridge Music as their distributor. Sandra Tsing Loh (, born February 11, 1962) is an American writer, actress, radio personality, and former professor of art at the University of California, Irvine. Life and career Loh is the younger daughter of a Chinese American, Chinese father and a German American, German mother. She was raised in Malibu, California, Malibu, Southern California, and after attending Malibu High School, Malibu Park Junior High School was bused South to Santa Monica High School, where she was active in the computer-and-engineering-related "Olive Starlight Orchestra" and founded the performance-arts group and civic volunteer organization "Young Bureaucrats, Of Course (YBOC)".
