Donatım, Muş
Donatım, also known as Derkevank (, ), is a village of Muş District, Muş Province, Eastern Anatolia in Turkey. Its population is 779 (2022). History Human settlement has happened in the area for about 10,000 years. During the Middle Ages, The area was the center of the Taron kingdom region of Armenia. In the late 8th century the area came under control of the Armenian Bagratid (Bagratuni) dynasty, until it was captured and annexed to the Byzantine Empire in 969. Haspet castle is located on a hill in Donatım. In the 11th century, the town was ruled by Islamic dynasties such as the Ahlatshahs, then in the 16th the Ottomans took control over the area. Çöğürlü () is a village of Muş District, Muş Province, eastern Turkey. Its population is 2,328 (2022). It is a satellite village of Muş. History The old name of the village was ''Arinc'' or ''Arinch'' which was changed to ''Cogurlu'' in the 19th century. Cevizlidere, MuÅŸ
Cevizlidere ((), ) is a village in the Muş District of Muş Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Kurds and had a population of 343 in 2022. It was formerly populated by Armenians and attacked by Ottoman forces in 1894 where most of the population was massacred. From 1994 on, the village was depopulated for a while by Turkish authorities during the Kurdish–Turkish conflict. History The village was part of Sasun and mainly populated by Apostolic Armenians. In mid-August 1894, many Armenians from the vicinity fled to Cevizlidere for safety as skirmishes were taking place with nomad Kurds who had been approached by Ottoman soldiers for support. Later that month, a Kurdish ally named Khushman Agha warned the locals of an attack by Ottoman forces and many women and children fled to the mountains, while others took up weapons to defend the village.
