The Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium ( a.k.a. Narol Cricket Stadium; ur, مظفر آباد کرکٹ اسٹیڈیم or MCS) is a cricket stadium in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir. The stadium is situated near Azad Jammu Kashmir Medical College. It has hosted all the matches of the Kashmir Premier League so far. Previously, it has been used as a hospital during earthquakes. Matches hosted In 2013, the ground hosted five matches of the 2013 Inter-District Under-19 Tournament, and three matches of the 2013–14 Inter-District Senior Tournament. Two years later, it hosted five matches of the 2015 Inter-District Under-19 Tournament, and five matches of the 2015 Inter-District Senior Tournament. In 2019, it hosted two fixtures of the 2019–20 PCB National Under-19s 3-Day Tournament, and one match of the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (Grade II) 2019/20. Muzaffarabad (; ur, ) is the capital and largest city of Azad Kashmir, and the 60th largest in Pakistan. The city is located in Muzaffarabad District, near the confluence of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers. The Kashmir Premier League ( ur, ; abbreviated KPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league organized by Pakistan Cricket Board in the Pakistani administrated side of the Kashmir. Cricket Grounds In Pakistan
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Bagh City ( ur, ) is the chief town and district headquarters of Bagh District, in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The town is situated on the confluence of two nullahs (streams), Malwani and Mahl (ماہلوانی اور ماہل) at the distance of 93 km from Muzaffarabad. 2005 earthquake On 8 October 2005, Bagh was hit by a devastating earthquake that killed 8,500 people, which represented 10% of the population. The Quaid-e-Azam Stadium ( ur, قائدِ اعظم سٹیڈیم; also known as Mirpur Cricket Stadium) is a cricket stadium in sector F/2 Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. 2022 Kashmir Premier League (Pakistan)
The 2022 Kashmir Premier League (also known as 2022 KPL or, for sponsorship reasons, Kingdom Valley KPL 2022) was the second season of the Kashmir Premier League, a cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2021. This season saw the expansion of the KPL from 6 teams to 7 teams. After the end of the first edition of the KPL, it was announced that there would be a seventh team added for the 2022 edition. An eighth franchise was also established for Gilgit-Baltistan but the team was removed from the tournament for unknown reasons. The 2021 Kashmir Premier League (also known as 2021 KPL or, for sponsorship reasons, SRG KPL 2021), was the inaugural season of the Kashmir Premier League which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The tournament featured six teams and was held from 6 August 2021 to 17 August 2021 in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan.
