''Muttersprache'' ( en, "First language, Native language", literally "mother tongue") is the ninth studio album by German recording artist Sarah Connor (singer), Sarah Connor, released by Polydor Records on May 22, 2015. It is her first album to be primarily recorded in German language, German. After her participation in the reality television series ''Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert'' in 2014, the German version of the series ''The Best Singers (series), The Best Singers'', Connor was encouraged to record songs in German. ''Muttersprache'' debuted on top of on the GfK Entertainment, German Albums Chart, marking her second number-one album following 2005's ''Naughty but Nice (album), Naughty but Nice''. ''Muttersprache'' is primarily a Pop music, pop and Contemporary R&B, R&B album. Sarah Connor (born Sarah Marianne Corina Lewe; 13 June 1980) is a German singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence after she signed with X-Cell Records in 2000 and released her debut album ''Green Eyed Soul'' (2001) the following year. She followed it with a series of successful albums, including '' Unbelievable'' (2002), ''Key to My Soul'' (2003), '' Naughty but Nice'' (2005), '' Christmas in My Heart'' (2005), '' Soulicious'' (2007), '' Sexy as Hell'' (2008) and '' Real Love'' (2010). The GfK Entertainment charts are the official music charts in Germany and are gathered and published by GfK Entertainment (formerly Media Control and Media Control GfK International), a subsidiary of GfK, on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie. GfK Entertainment is the provider of weekly Top 100 single and album charts, as well as various other chart formats for genres like compilations, jazz, classical music, schlager, hip hop, dance, comedy, and music videos. Following a lawsuit in March 2014 by Media Control AG, Media Control® GfK International had to change its name. Luxuslärm
Luxuslärm is a German pop-rock group from Iserlohn. History The band was founded in 2003 as Blue Cinnamon, playing covers. In 2007, under the name Luxuslärm, the group won the ''NRW Rock It'' contest. In 2008, the band won several German Pop and Rock Music Association awards. The group was selected as one of ten artists to compete in the Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, German qualifiers for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. German televoters however didn't select the band's entry ' (lit. "As long as love lives within me") into the final of three.
