According to the Mutt homepage "though written from scratch, Mutt's initial interface was based largely on the ELM mail client". New to Mutt were message scoring and threading capabilities. Support for fetching and sending email via various protocols such as POP3, IMAP and SMTP was added later. However, Mutt still relies on external tools for composing and filtering messages. Mutt has hundreds of config ...

Mutt (song)
"Mutt" is a song by American rock band Blink-182 from the band's third studio album, ''Enema of the State'' (1999). It was written primarily by guitarist Tom DeLonge, with additional songwriting credit to bassist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Scott Raynor. The song's narrative portrays a lustful couple. DeLonge penned the track for his friend, the professional surfer Benji Weatherly. The band first recorded the song for Weatherly's appearance in the 1998 surf film ''The Show'', prior to Raynor's exit from the group. The song was later re-recorded with drummer Travis Barker and included on the band's 1999 album, ''Enema of the State''. This edition had a prominent placement on the soundtrack for the 1999 film '' American Pie''; the song plays during a memorable scene in which the main character attempts to woo a foreign exchange student. A 2016 ''Rolling Stone'' reader's poll ranked "Mutt" among the trio's fans' favorite tunes. Background "Mutt" was written primarily by DeLonge about ...

Mutt And Jeff (spies)
Mutt and Jeff were two Norwegian spies who worked for the United Kingdom and MI5 and were members of the Double Cross System. In April 1941 two Norwegians, John "Helge" Moe (Mutt) and Tor Glad (Jeff) fetched up on a remote Aberdeenshire beach in Scotland, having travelled by seaplane and rubber dinghy. They immediately turned themselves in to the local police as German spies. MI5 soon 'turned' them, assigning them their codenames, which were the names of a pair of cartoon strip characters (see Mutt and Jeff). 'Mutt and Jeff' is also rhyming slang for 'deaf'. Mutt and Jeff's mission was supposed to be one of sabotage, as well as having a secondary intelligence role, reporting (via wireless) military locations, deployments and civilian morale. MI5 used Mutt and Jeff's radio sets to relay false information, leading the Germans to believe that the United Kingdom intended to invade Norway (this activity was a component of Operation Fortitude). To ensure the German handlers did not s ...
