Mustafakemalpaşa
Mustafakemalpaşa is a town and district in Bursa Province, in the Marmara region of Turkey. The Mustafakemalpaşa River (Mustafakemalpaşa Çayı) flows through it. History The ancient Greek name of the county was Kremaste (Κρεμαστή in Ancient Greek, Kirmasti in modern Turkish), under the Kingdom of Bithynia. Around 300AD the town became important when it became a Christian diocese. In 1336 the town was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire. It was devastated in 1920 during the Greco-Turkish war. After the War of Independence, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the town council decided to rename the city ''Mustafakemalpaşa'' in his honor. The town currently has 56,727 residents. Mustafakemalpaşa River
The Mustafakemalpaşa River, Orhaneli River or Adirnaz River ( tr, Mustafakemalpaşa Çayı, or ) is a river in northwestern Anatolia in the Bursa Province of Turkey's Marmara Region. It is named for the city of Mustafakemalpaşa which lies near its delta onto Lake Uluabat. In antiquity, the river was known as Rhyndacus (, ''Rhýndakos''Strabo. In Greek Mythology, Rhyndacus was a son of Oceanus and Tethys, and his daughters by Mount Didymos, the Rhyndacides, were revered as pegaeæ, meaning water-Springs. Bursa Province
Bursa Province ( tr, ) is a province in Turkey along the Sea of Marmara coast in northwestern Anatolia. It borders Balıkesir to the west, Kütahya to the south, Bilecik and Sakarya to the east, Kocaeli to the northeast and Yalova to the north. The province has an area of 11,043 km2 and a population of 3,139,744 as of 2021. Its traffic code is 16. Lipkovo ( mk, , sq, Likovë) is a village in North Macedonia. It is the seat of Lipkovo Municipality. History Lipkovo was a central strategic village during the 2001 armed conflict between the Albanian National Liberation Army and the Macedonian Army.
