Mustafa Afridi
Mustafa Afridi ( ur, ) is a screenwriter and occasional actor from Pakistan, known for his television plays in Pakistani dramas, Urdu television industry such as ''Aseerzadi'', ''Sang-e-Mar Mar'' and ''Ehd-e-Wafa''. For his serial ''Sang-e-Mar Mar'', he has won Hum Award and Lux Style Award for Best Writer. Early life and career Afridi joined the industry as writer after getting education from National Academy of Arts. His first project as a writer was an episode named ''Mukti'' in PTV Home, PTV's ''Partition Stories''. He aspired to become an actor but his teachers found him more suited for writing. He also played the role of Azhar in Hum TV's pre-partition period play ''Aangan (2018 TV series), Aangan'', for which he wrote the screenplay also. ''Geo Entertainment HD'' or Geo Drama is a Pakistani entertainment television channel owned by Geo Television Network was established in May 2002. Its test transmission started on 14 August 2002 on the PAS 10 digital satellite whereas on 1 October 2002 the regular transmission of Geo Entertainment was started. History GEO has been one of the oldest Pakistani networks, and regularly has received good TRPs on various daily soaps, reality series, and drama serials since inception. Geo used to show a lot of daily soaps when it was in its initial years and the soaps got popular too. 2nd Hum Awards
The 2nd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor Talkshawlk, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2013. The ceremony took place on 29 March 2014 at Expo Center in Karachi, Sindh beginning at 7:30 PST. The ceremony was recorded and was broadcast on 25 May 2014. ''Sang-e-Mah'' (Urdu: سنگِ ماہ, ) is a Pakistani television series, and second series in the trilogy preceded by ''Sang-e-Mar Mar''. ''Superstar'' is a 2019 Pakistani romantic, musical-drama film, starring Bilal Ashraf and Mahira Khan. It is directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, produced by Momina & Duraid Films, and the music and screenplay are by Azaan Sami Khan. Aangan (novel)
''Aangan'' (), alternatively spelled ''Angan'', is a period novel by Pakistani novelist and short story writer Khadija Mastoor. Published in 1962, it is hailed as a masterpiece of Urdu literature. It won Mastoor the 1963 Adamjee Literary Award for Urdu prose and has been translated into 13 languages. English translations of the novel by Daisy Rockwell titled ''Inner Courtyard'' and ''The Women's Courtyard'' were published in 2000 and 2018, respectively. A Pakistani TV series adaptation of the novel starring Mawra Hocane, Ahad Raza Mir, Ahsan Khan and Sajal Aly was aired on Hum TV from 2018 to 2019. Khadija Mastoor
Khadija Mastoor ( ur, , translit=K͟hadījah Mastūr; 11 December 192725 July 1982) was a Pakistani short story writer and novelist who worked in Urdu literature. Her novel '' Aangan'' is widely considered a literary masterpiece in Urdu literature, which has also been made into a television drama. Her younger sister Hajra Masroor was also a short story writer while poet, playwright and newspaper columnist Khalid Ahmad was her younger brother. Early life Khadija Mastoor was born on 11 December 1927 in Bareilly, India. She migrated to Lahore with her family after the independence of Pakistan in 1947 and settled there.
