Muso (InuYasha)
The characters of the ''Inuyasha'' manga series were created by Rumiko Takahashi. Most of the series takes place in a fictional version of Japan's Warring States period with occasional time-travel/flashback elements to modern Tokyo or the Heisei period. The setting and plot incorporate many elements of traditional Japanese folklore and religion. Its main characters (both protagonists and antagonists) include a Shintō priestess, a Buddhist monk and several types of yōkai, usually rendered as "demon" in English-language translations of the series. The Lahu people ( Lāhùzú; Lahu: ''Ladhulsi'' / ''Kawzhawd''; vi, La Hủ) are an ethnic group of China and Mainland Southeast Asia. Etymology The Chinese name "Lahu" literally means "to drag favour from heaven" (拉, lā, "to drag"; 祜, hù, "blessing, favour"). It replaced the older and more-offensive "Luohei" (猓黑) as the official Chinese name for the Lahu people. Distribution The Lahu are one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China, where about 720,000 live in Yunnan province, mostly in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County. Muso Health
Muso is a 501(c)(3) global health organization based in Mali. Created in 2005, by a group of Malian and American collaborators, including the following still active team leaders Dr. Djoumé Diakité, Moise Samaké, Dr. Jessica Beckerman, and Dr. Ari Johnson, of San Francisco General Hospital. Muso has developed a proactive Community Case Management (Pro-CCM) healthcare delivery model, intended to reduce child mortality and improve early access to care. As a result of this model, Muso achieved a ten-fold reduction in child mortality in their site of intervention in Yirimadjo, Mali, between 2008 and 2013, as documented in a 2013 study by researchers at Harvard, the University of California San Francisco, and Mali's Ministry of Health.
