Muslim Charities Forum
The Muslim Charities Forum (MCF) is an umbrella organisation for UK based Muslim-led charities whose primary goal is to provide humanitarian aid and assistance to the poorest and most vulnerable people around the world. It is also an associate member of British Overseas NGOs for Development (Bond), the UK membership body for non-government organisations and a member of National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), an organisation with 11,000 members that champions the voluntary sector and volunteering. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Muslim Charities Forum is Moazzam Malik. Fadi Itani OBE currently serves as the Chief Executive. The organisation faced hostile media reporting after one of its members alleged ties to political and non charitable entities in an article in the ''Telegraph''. Hany El-Banna
Hany Abdel Gawad El-Banna OBE (born 9 December 1950) is the co-founder of Islamic Relief, the largest Western-based international Muslim relief and development NGO, established in 1984 in Birmingham, UK. Education and Islamic Relief Born in Egypt, El-Banna completed his MBBCh Medicine at Al Azhar University, Cairo, where he also obtained a Diploma in Islamic Studies in 1976. El-Banna was awarded the Hamilton Bailey Prize in Medicine at City hospital (previously known as Dudley Road) in 1981, Birmingham UK. He then went on to further his medical training and completed a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in foetal pathology from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1991. A pathologist by education, El-Banna attended a medical conference in Sudan in 1983 during a time of famine in the region. British Overseas NGOs for Development (commonly called Bond) is the United Kingdom membership body for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in international development. Established in 1993, Bond now has over 400 members. These range from large bodies with a worldwide presence to smaller, specialist organisations working in certain regions or with specific groups of people. Bond is a registered charity under English law. Bond promotes, supports, represents and, on occasion, leads the work and interests of UK international development organisations. Human Appeal is a British international development and relief Charitable organization, charity based in Manchester. It was established in 1991. It runs targeted poverty relief programmes in emergency response and sustainable development. In the past, the charity was known as Human Appeal International but was rebranded in 2018. Human Relief Foundation
Human Relief Foundation (HRF) is a charity set up by the United Kingdom in 1991. Since the last war on Iraq (2003), HRF paid attention for the training courses for doctors. It sent a considerable number of medical staff from the UK to help train the Iraqi doctors on various subjects. HRF thinks that the need for qualified doctors in Iraq is increasing as a result of the deteriorating situation.
