PT Musica Studios is an Indonesian music company based in Jakarta. Known as Metropolitan Studios in the 1960s and then Musica Studios in the 1970s, Musica was founded by Yamin Widjaja, the owner of an electronics store. Musica is one of the largest music companies in Indonesia. Musical artists such as Noah (formerly known as Peterpan), have recorded on the Musica label. History Starting from the work of Yamin Widjaja (Amin) as an electronics store owner and record album distributor who opened an outlet in the Pasar Baru area, that's where the long history of the largest recording industry in Indonesia began. The electronics store and record distributor was founded in the early 60's under the name Eka Sapta store. D'Masiv is an Indonesian musical group which based in Jakarta. Nidji is an Indonesian rock band based in Jakarta. Formed in February 2002, Nidji's name comes from the Japanese word ''niji'' (虹), meaning "rainbow". Iwan Fals
Virgiawan Listanto or better known as Iwan Fals (born September 3, 1961) is an Indonesian singer, songwriter and guitarist of Javanese descent. In 2002, ''Time'' named him as a Great Asian Hero. Early life Iwan was born Virgiawan Listanto in Jakarta, on September 3, 1961, to Harsoyo, a soldier, and Lies Suudijah. He studied at SMP Negeri 5 Bandung and SMAK BPK Bandung. He continued his studies at Sekolah Tinggi Publisistik and then Institut Kesenian Jakarta. At the age of thirteen, he appeared as a street musician in small wedding ceremonies and other social events. Career While he was 18, Iwan Fals, Toto Gunarto, Helmi, Bambang Bule and Kakek Jagonk formed a group named Amburadul.
