Music For Relief
Music for Relief is a 501(c)(3) charitable trust founded by the rock band Linkin Park in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Throughout its first twelve years, the organization responded to over 30 natural disasters across four continents, providing immediate help and funding long-term recovery with a focus on sustainability. In March 2018, Music for Relief announced its collaboration with the Entertainment Industry Foundation to amplify the results of its disaster relief and recovery work. Building on EIF's historic commitment to furthering the philanthropic efforts of the entertainment community, Music for Relief allows for immediate response in the wake of a humanitarian crisis or natural disaster. 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake And Tsunami
An earthquake and a tsunami, known as the Boxing Day Tsunami and, by the scientific community, the Sumatra–Andaman earthquake, occurred at 07:58:53 local time (UTC+7) on 26 December 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. It was an undersea megathrust earthquake that registered a magnitude of 9.1–9.3 , reaching a Mercalli intensity up to IX in certain areas. The earthquake was caused by a rupture along the fault between the Burma Plate and the Indian Plate. A series of massive tsunami waves grew up to high once heading inland, after being created by the underwater seismic activity offshore. Illegal logging is the harvest, transportation, purchase or sale of timber in violation of laws. ''Download to Donate for Haiti'' is a compilation album by various artists. It was released on January 19, 2010 through Machine Shop and Warner Bros. Records. The album was produced by Mike Shinoda and co-produced by Enrique Iglesias. American rock band Linkin Park started a project called Music for Relief in 2005, which has done relief work for the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Linkin Park released a single for the album titled as " Not Alone", which was recorded for their third studio album ''Minutes to Midnight'', as the first and introductory track on this album. The single was released almost after two years of the release of the album, due to the release of their fourth album '' A Thousand Suns''. The Camp Fire was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California's history, and the most expensive natural disaster in the world in 2018 in terms of insured losses. Woolsey Fire
The Woolsey Fire was a wildfire that burned in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties of the U.S. state of California. The fire ignited on November 8, 2018, and burned of land.
