"Music Is My Radar" is a song by British band Blur. As a single, it reached No. 10 in the UK. It was released in support of the band's greatest hits compilation, '' Blur: The Best Of'', on which it was the only song that had not previously appeared on an album. An alternative version called "Squeezebox" appeared in 2012 on one of the rarities CDs from the ''Blur 21'' box collection, released to celebrate the 21st anniversary of their debut album release, ''Leisure''. Nigerian musician Tony Allen, who is repeatedly mentioned in the lyrics, later collaborated with Blur frontman Damon Albarn as the drummer in the supergroups The Good, the Bad & the Queen and Rocket Juice & the Moon, and appears posthumously with Albarn on the 2020 Gorillaz song "How Far?". Blur (band)
Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, ''Leisure'' (1991), incorporated the sounds of Madchester and shoegazing. Following a stylistic change influenced by English guitar pop groups such as the Kinks, the Beatles and XTC, Blur released ''Modern Life Is Rubbish'' (1993), ''Parklife'' (1994) and '' The Great Escape'' (1995). Gorillaz
Gorillaz are an English virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, from London. Chris Potter is a British record producer and mixer, most known for his work as long-term collaborator and producer of The Verve and Richard Ashcroft. Potter started his career at Maison Rouge Studios in London, where he worked his way up through the ranks to chief engineer. After several successful years there, he left to further his career as a freelance producer and mixer. He has worked with many artists of note including The Rolling Stones and U2 and won a Brit Award for 'Best Producer' in 1998 for his work on The Verve's ''Urban Hymns''. After enjoying worldwide success with his productions and mixes on ''Urban Hymns'', he continued to work with Richard Ashcroft on his solo albums. "She's So High" is a song by the English rock band Blur, released as a double A-side single with "I Know" on 15 October 1990 as their debut single. It is the first track on the band's debut album, ''Leisure'', released in 1991. Content The artwork was designed by Mel Ramos and shows a naked woman riding a hippopotamus. Eraclio Petri (29 January 1929 – 10 November 1982), commonly known as Elio Petri, was an Italian film director, screenwriter, theatre director, and critic associated with the political cinema in the 1960s and '70s. ''The 10th Victim'' ( it, La decima vittima) is a 1965 science fiction film directed and co-written by Elio Petri, starring Marcello Mastroianni, Ursula Andress, Elsa Martinelli, and Salvo Randone. An international co-production between Italy and France, it is based on Robert Sheckley's 1953 short story " Seventh Victim". Sorelle Fontana (literally "Fontana Sisters", also known as "Sorelle Fontana, Alta Moda SRL") is an Italian fashion house, specializing in production of high-fashion couture. It was founded in Rome in 1943 by three sisters and Italian designers: Zoe Fontana (1911-1979), Micol Fontana (1913-2015) and Giovanna Fontana (1915-2004). Founded by editor Sean Adams, the site features reviews, news, interviews, and discussion forums. Stephen Thomas Erlewine (; born June 18, 1973) is an American music critic and senior editor for the online music database AllMusic. He is the author of many artist biographies and record reviews for AllMusic, as well as a freelance writer, occasionally contributing liner notes. Erlewine was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is a nephew of the former musician and AllMusic founder Michael Erlewine.
