Music Builds Tour
The Music Builds Tour was a 23-show festival-style concert tour spanning three months in late 2008. Rock bands Switchfoot and Robert Randolph and the Family Band, along with Third Day and Jars of Clay co-headlined the event. As such, the tour benefited local Habitat for Humanity chapters in the tour cities, through a program combining "Hollywood For Habitat For Humanity," the concert production company Live Nation, and the bands. The tour has been depicted in two concert films, Third Day's ''Live Revelation'' and Switchfoot's ''The Best Yet Live in Nashville''. One music video was shot during the tour, that being the second version of Switchfoot's "This Is Home." Switchfoot
Switchfoot is an American rock band from San Diego, California. The band's members are Jon Foreman (lead vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass guitar, backing vocals), Chad Butler (drums, percussion), and Jerome Fontamillas (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). After early successes in the Christian rock scene, Switchfoot first gained mainstream recognition with the inclusion of four of their songs in the 2002 movie ''A Walk to Remember''. Pine Knob Music Theatre (formerly DTE Energy Music Theatre) is an outdoor amphitheater located in Independence Township, Michigan, approximately northwest of Detroit (it has a Clarkston, Michigan mailing address). Bristow is an unincorporated community of Prince William County in Northern Virginia about from Washington, D.C. The PNC Bank Arts Center (originally the Garden State Arts Center) is an amphitheatre in Holmdel, New Jersey. Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island is an outdoor amphitheater located on the man-made peninsula Northerly Island, in Chicago, Illinois.
