Music Awards Ceremony
The Music Awards Ceremony (often simply called the MAC) are annual popular music awards for Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro presented by Skymedia Group. The awards were first held on 29 January 2019 at the Belgrade Arena. The MAC is broadcast on several regional television networks, as well as via YouTube. It consists of up to 20 different categories, which are based on public votes, and other special awards, whose winners are determined by the organizers. Marija Šerifović
Marija Šerifović ( sr-cyr, Марија Шерифовић, ; born 14 November 1984) is a Serbian singer. Born in Kragujevac as the daughter of Verica Šerifović, she rose to prominence in 2003 with her debut album ''Naj, Najbolja''. Šerifović is arguably best known for representing Serbia and winning at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with "Molitva". Slobodan Veljković ( sr-cyr, Слободан Вељковић, ; born 11 April 1985), known professionally as Coby (), is a Serbian rapper, songwriter and record producer. Born in Belgrade and raised in Prokuplje, in 2007 he relocated back to Belgrade where he began working with Rexxxona and his record label Bassivity. Coby gained more significant success by writing and producing songs for pop-folk singers like Boban Rajović, Dara Bubamara and Ana Nikolić. Ana Đurić (; sr-Cyrl, Ана Ђурић, ; , ; born 12 October 1978), known professionally as Konstrakta ( sr-Cyrl, Констракта), is a Serbian singer and songwriter. She had risen to prominence as the lead vocalist of the indie pop band Zemlja gruva!, which was founded in 2007, before pursuing her solo career in 2019. Konstrakta gained more significant recognition by representing Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy with "In corpore sano", where she placed 5th out of 40 competing entries. Tonči Huljić
Tonči Huljić (; born 29 October 1961) is a Croatian musician, songwriter and music producer. He is best known as the founding member, songwriter and producer of one the most famous Croatian pop bands, Magazin. During his career spanning more than five decades, Huljić has produced numerous hit singles, both for the group and for numerous solo artists which emerged from his record label. Some of the most prominent music artists who collaborated with him include Jelena Rozga, Doris Dragović, Petar Grašo as well as Maksim Mrvica, Danijela Martinović, Minea and Jole. 2023 Music Awards Ceremony
Music Awards Ceremony (MAC) 2023, presented by Sky Music, was held on 25 and 26 January 2023 to recognize the best in the music of former Yugoslav countries. The ceremony took place at Štark Arena in Belgrade. Following a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the third MAC was announced on 27 November 2022. The event for the first time included two nights, one focusing on pop, rock, folk, world, rap, and hip hop music, and the other for contemporary genres, like trap, drill, urban pop and pop-folk music. On January 20, Serbian actress Jelena Gavrilović and Croatian musician Tonči Huljić were announced as hosts for the first evening, and Serbian rappers Voyage and Mimi Mercedez as hosts for the second one. Senida Hajdarpašić (; born 9 April 1985), known by her stage name Senidah (pronounced ), is a Slovenian singer-songwriter. Often dubbed the "Balkans, Balkan Trap music, Trap Diva" by the media, she was born in Ljubljana and rose to prominence as the lead singer of the band Muff. Nina Badrić
Nina Badrić (; born 4 July 1972) is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter. She began performing in the early 1990s, and competed in " Dora" – the Croatian selection for Eurovision Song Contest 4 times. She won 7th place in 1993 with "Ostavljam te", 10th place in 1994 with "Godine nestvarne", 18th place in 1995 with "Odlaziš zauvijek", and second place in 2003 with "Čarobno jutro". Aleksandar Matić ( sr-cyr, Александар Матић; born 26 April 1978), better known as Saša Matić is a Bosnian Serb pop-folk singer. Life and career Early life Matić was born on 26 April 1978 in Bihać, SFR Yugoslavia. He has a twin brother, Dejan, who is also a well-known singer. They were born prematurely and subsequently became completely blind due to unexplained circumstances. Matić initially grew up in Drvar, before moving to Belgrade with his family.
