Museo Poldi Pezzoli
The Museo Poldi Pezzoli is an art museum in Milan, Italy. It is located near the Teatro alla Scala, on Via Manzoni 12. The museum was originated in the 19th century as a private collection of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli (1822–1879) and his mother, Rosa Trivulzio, of the family of the condottiero Gian Giacomo Trivulzio. Many of the rooms in the palace were redecorated starting in 1846, a commissions entrusted to Luigi Scrosati and Giuseppe Bertini. Individual rooms were often decorated and furnished to match the paintings hung on the walls. The architect Simone Cantoni (1736–1818) rebuilt the palazzo in its present Neoclassical style with an English-style interior garden. In 1850–1853, Poldi Pezzoli commissioned the architect Giuseppe Balzaretto to refurbish his apartment.Museum website

Lorenzo Bartolini
Lorenzo Bartolini (Prato, 7 January 1777 Florence, 20 January 1850) was an Italian sculptor who infused his neoclassicism with a strain of sentimental piety and naturalistic detail, while he drew inspiration from the sculpture of the Florentine Renaissance rather than the overpowering influence of Antonio Canova that circumscribed his Florentine contemporaries. Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione
Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione (baptized 23 March 16095 May 1664) was an Italian Baroque painter, printmaker and draftsman, of the Genoese school. He is best known now for his etchings, and as the inventor of the printmaking technique of monotyping. He was known as ''Il Grechetto'' in Italy and in France as ''Le Benédette''. Biography Castiglione was born in Genoa. The biographer of Genoese painters, Raffaele Soprani says his parents had him places in the studio of Giovanni Battista Paggi. Jacopo del Casentino (c. 1297 – 1358) was an Italian painter, active mainly in Tuscany in the first half of the 14th century. Life Very little is known about this artist other than that he likely came from Casentino. Giorgio Vasari incorrectly identified him as a member of the Landini family and that is the reason why in the past he was referred to as Jacopo Landino. Vasari also incorrectly placed his origins in Arezzo. It is likely he received his training in Florence in the milieu of the Master of St Cecilia. Cristoforo Caselli
Cristoforo Caselli, also known as ''Da Palma'' or ''il Temporello'' or ''Cristofaro Castelli'', (circa 1460 - 1521) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period. Biography Caselli was born in Parma. He earned his livelihood between 1489 and 1492 as a journeyman at Venice, where he painted, in 1495, an altar-piece now hanging in the Sacristy of Santa Maria della Salute. The Gallery of Parma contains a ''Virgin and Child, with SS. John the Baptist and Jerome'' probably painted by him before 1489. He was a contemporary of the painter, later engraver from Parma, Francesco Marmitta. He is also documented as working from 1489 to 1495 alongside Giovanni Bellini and Alvise Vivarini and others, in the decoration of the Great Council Hall in the Doge’s Palace in Venice. Giovanni Antonio Canal (18 October 1697 – 19 April 1768), commonly known as Canaletto (), was an Italian painter from the Republic of Venice, considered an important member of the 18th-century Venetian school. Giulio Campi (1502 – 5 March 1572) was an Italian painter and architect. His brothers Vincenzo Campi and Antonio Campi were also renowned painters. Biography The eldest of a family prominent painters, Campi was born at Cremona. His father Galeazzo (1475–1536) taught him the first lessons in art. In 1522, in Mantua, he studied painting, architecture, and modelling under Giulio Romano. He visited Rome, became an ardent student of the antique, and like Bernardino — distantly related to him — he combined a Lombard and Roman traditions. Alessandro Bonvicino
Alessandro Bonvicino (also Buonvicino) (possibly 22 December 1554), more commonly known as Moretto, or in Italian Il Moretto da Brescia (the Moor of Brescia), was an Italian Renaissance painter from Brescia, where he also mostly worked. Paolo Borroni
Paolo Borroni (1749–1819) was an Italian painter of the Neoclassical style. Biography Borroni was born and first studied in Voghera, then in 1761 moved to Milan and studied under Calderini (or Calderino). He relocated to Parma and studied under Benigno Rossi. He won a number of prizes from the Academy of Fine Arts of Parma in 1770 and 1771. In 1772 he moved to Rome and worked in the studio of Pompeo Batoni, and after a trip to Venice returned to Vorghera in 1776. Francesco Bonsignori
Francesco Bonsignori (c. 1455 – July 2, 1519), also known as Francesco Monsignori, was an Italian painter and draughtsman, characterized by his excellence in religious subjects, portraits, architectural perspective and animals.
