Musa Sherif
Musa Sherif, (born 7 September 1971) is an Indian Motorsports professional and seven-time Indian National champion co-driver competing in the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC). Born in Kumbla, Kumble, a small town in Kasaragod, Kasargod district, he made his debut in 1993 and became the first Indian to complete 300 rallies, both in two-wheeler and four-wheelers in all formats of rallying including TSD rallies. Career Sherif got hooked on rallying in 1993 when he competed in the Mandovi rally at Mangalore as a rider and shifted to four-wheelers in 1995. He currently competes in yellow colours with JK Tyre team and navigates for seven-time National champion driver Gaurav Gill. The duo won the popular Karnataka 1000 rally, the second round of the delayed INRC 2021 where he completed 300 rallies including 69 international rallies. Kasargod District
Kasaragod ( and Malayalam: , English: ''Kassergode'', Tulu: ''Kasrod'', Arabic: ''Harkwillia'') is one of the 14 districts in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Motorsports Association Of India
The Motorsports Association of India (MAI) was the national sporting authority (ASN) of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) in India for a period between 2000 and 2008. It was the association responsible for the control and promotion of motorsport in India under the International Sporting Code of the FIA for a few years. The current ASN is Federation of Motor Sports Clubs in India (FMSCI). MAI was a rival body formed by Nazir Hoosein. The MAI was also a member of the Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK), the commission of the FIA that deals with world karting and runs the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC), and other karting events. The Mahindra XUV300 is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by the Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra. It is based on the X100 platform of SsangYong Tivoli and has been sold in Indian market since February 2019. Mahindra slotted it in the segment along with their Bolero Neo (formerly called the TUV300) to rival the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and the Ford Ecosport. FMSCI
The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, abbreviated as FMSCI, is the governing body for motor sports in India and was founded in 1971. It is a long-standing member of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the world bodies for 2/3 and 4 wheeler motor sport respectively. Rally is a wide-ranging form of motorsport with various competitive motoring elements such as speed tests (often called ''rally racing),'' navigation tests, or the ability to reach waypoints or a destination at a prescribed time or average speed. Rallies may be short in the form of trials at a single venue, or several thousand miles long in an extreme endurance rally. Depending on the format, rallies may be organised on private or public roads, open or closed to traffic, or off-road in the form of cross country or rally-raid.
