John Murtha
John Patrick Murtha Jr. (; June 17, 1932 – February 8, 2010) was an American politician from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Murtha, a Democrat, represented Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 1974 until his death in 2010. He is the longest-serving member ever of the United States House of Representatives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A former Marine Corps officer, Murtha was the first Vietnam War veteran elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Pennsylvania House from 1969 to 1974, he narrowly won a special election to Congress in 1974 and was successively reelected every two years until his death. Patricia Anne "Tish" Murtha (14 March 1956 – 13 March 2013) was a British social documentary photographer best known for documenting marginalised communities, social realism and working class life in Newcastle upon Tyne and the North East of England. The posthumously published books of her work are ''Youth Unemployment'' (2017), ''Elswick Kids'' (2018) and ''Juvenile Jazz Bands'' (2020). John Garvan Murtha
John Garvan Murtha (born March 3, 1941) is an inactive Senior United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Vermont. Education and career Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Murtha received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1963, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1968, and a Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center in 1970. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Colombia, South America from 1963 to 1965 and was an E. Barrett Prettyman fellow at the Georgetown University Law Center from 1968 to 1970. Andrew Murtha (born 19 October 1965 in Parramatta, New South Wales) is an Australian short track speed skater who competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics and in the 1994 Winter Olympics. In 1991, Murtha was part of the Australian quartet that won the 5,000 m relay at the World Championships in 1991 in Sydney. It was the first time that Australia had won a World Championship in a winter sport. John Murtha Johnstown–Cambria County Airport is a civil-military airport three miles (5 km) northeast of Johnstown, in Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
