Adrian Murrell
Adrian Byran Murrell (born October 16, 1970) is a former professional American football running back. He was drafted by the New York Jets in the fifth round of the 1993 NFL Draft after playing collegiately for the West Virginia Mountaineers. Murrell played in nine National Football League (NFL) seasons from 1993 to 2000 and 2003. High school Murrell attended Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Collegiate career Murrell arrived at West Virginia University in 1990, when Michael Beasley started for the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers went 4-7 that season, with Murrell only seeing limited time. He only rushed for 48 yards on seven attempts that season. In his sophomore year, 1991, Murrell and the Mountaineers began to increase their product. Marques Murrell
Marques Allen Murrell (born March 20, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Appalachian State. Murrell also played for the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Virginia Destroyers and Montreal Alouettes. Murrell Hogue (August 13, 1904 – November 27, 1990) was an American football player. Hogue was born in 1904 in Amarillo, Texas. He attended Powell Training High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. He played college football as a guard for the 1924 Centenary Gentlemen football team that compiled an 8–1 record under head coach Bo McMillin. Hogue later played professional football in the National Football League (NFL) as a guard and tackle for the New York Yankees (1928), Chicago Cardinals (1929), and Minneapolis Red Jackets The Minneapolis Marines were an early professional football team that existed from 1905 until 1924. Willie Murrell
Willie Vernon Murrell (September 13, 1941 – December 6, 2018) was an American professional basketball player. Murrell was born in Taft, Oklahoma. A 6'6" forward, he played at Kansas State University from 1962 to 1964. He averaged 20.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game during his time at Kansas State and was a 1964 All-American AP Honorable Mention. In 1964, he led Kansas State to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. The team was eliminated by UCLA, despite a 29-point, 13-rebound effort from Murrell. In 2009, Murrell's No. 44 jersey was retired by Kansas State. After college, Murrell played three seasons in the American Basketball Association as a member of the Denver Rockets, Miami Floridians, and Kentucky Colonels. He averaged 13.1 points and 7.3 rebounds in 228 ABA games. William McKendree Murrell (August 20, 1854 – March 23, 1935) was an American politician and lawyer from Virginia. He served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing Campbell County from 1893 to 1894. He served as a pastor in the Methodist Episcopal Church, and was a state legislator in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
