Murray Hurst
Murray Hurst is a former rugby league coach. He was Head coach of the North Queensland Cowboys between 2001 and 2002 and coached Tonga in the World Cup of 2000. Early life Hurst was born in Surat on a sheep and cattle property in the south west corner of Queensland. He attended Marist Brothers College at Ashgrove in Brisbane. Hurst has previously expressed his connection with the land, noting that he never contemplated another career other than to succeed his father on the family property. Coaching career Hurst took over the job from as coach of the North Queensland Cowboys from Tim Sheens in 2001. Hurst was later replaced by former Sydney Roosters coach Graham Murray. Tonga National Rugby League Team
The Tonga national rugby league team ( to, timi līki ʻakapulu fakafonua ʻa Tonga) represents Tonga in rugby league football. They are currently the second ranked team in the world. The team was formed to compete in the 1986 Pacific Cup, and have competed at six Rugby League World Cups, starting in 1995 and continuing consecutively until the most recent tournament. Their best result was at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, where they were semi-finalists. Formerly administered by the Tonga National Rugby League, the team is now in a state of limbo with administration. 2009 Queensland State Election
The 2009 Queensland state election was held on 21 March 2009 to elect all 89 members of the Legislative Assembly, a unicameral parliament. The election saw the incumbent Labor government led by Premier Anna Bligh defeat the Liberal National Party of Queensland led by Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg, and gain a fifth consecutive term in office for her party. Duane Darrin Mann (born 28 June 1965) is a New Zealand former rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s, and coached in the 2000s. A Tonga and New Zealand international representative , he captained both sides. Mann played his club football for New Zealand sides Glenora, North Harbour, Auckland Warriors and Counties Manukau, as well as for English club, Warrington. Michael James McClennan (26 January 1944 – October 2019) was a New Zealand rugby league footballer and coach who played for the New Zealand national team And Michael was also known as one of the top Rugby League Coaches and Mentors of his decade. Graham Murray
Graham Ernest Murray (6 January 1955 – 28 July 2013) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s, and coached in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. A New South Wales State of Origin head coach, Murray coached extensively at the highest club level: coaching the Illawarra Steelers, the Hunter Mariners, the Leeds Rhinos, the Sydney Roosters and the North Queensland Cowboys between the years 1991 and 2008.
