Murray Henderson (Rugby Coach)
Murray Henderson (born 13 August 1959 in Wellington) is a rugby union coach and former player from New Zealand. He played club rugby at the provincial level and represented his country though not at Test level. After his retirement as player he became a professional coach; he trained club, university and national sides. Early career Henderson joined the New Zealand Army cadets in 1976. A series of promotions led to his appointment as Head Cadet and Regimental Sergeant Major. Following the completion of the two-year programme, he joined the Regular Forces Engineer Corps and completed a carpentry apprenticeship. His career in the Army spanned 20 years during which time he worked on commercial construction projects, field engineering including demolitions and civilian aid projects in the South Pacific. Tasman Rugby Union
The Tasman Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby union in Tasman Bay / Te Tai-o-Aorere, a bay at the north end of the South Island in New Zealand. Headquartered in Nelson, TRU is New Zealand's newest provincial union, founded in 2006 with the amalgamation of the existing Marlborough and Nelson Bays sub unions. The X Factor New Zealand
''The X Factor'' was a New Zealand television reality music competition, originating from the original UK series and based on the Australian ''The X Factor'' production format. The show began in 2013 and was open to anyone aged 14 and over. The winner was signed to Sony Music Entertainment New Zealand. The contestants were split into the show's four traditional categories: Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups. From the second series, bands were also able to enter in the group category. The show was cancelled in 2017, with MediaWorks confirming that the format rights to the show had expired. Dick Dunn (boxer)
Richard John Dunn (19 May 1908 – 7 August 2001) was a New Zealand boxing coach. Biography Dunn was born in the coal-mining town of Millerton on the South Island's West Coast. His father was a stone-tunneller who bored into the sides of hills looking for seams of coal. He was trained by an Australian boxer and when Dunn was 18 he moved into training for himself. In 1929 he moved his gymnasium from Wellington to the Hutt Valley and eventually set up in Moera’s Railway Workshops, starting off training 100 boys. The gymnasium was open five nights a week and a local policeman used to bring trouble-making boys there in the hope it would give them an interest and to keep them off the streets. Dick had a simple policy on accepting people. Dunn still found time to compete in the ring and won the Hutt Valley and Wellington lightweight title in 1933, but retired shortly after.
