Murray City Park (or Murray Park) is a public urban park located in and operated by the city of Murray, Utah, USA. Features Murray City Park's most recognizable feature is a large wooden sculpture of Chief Wasatch, a fictional composite of local tribes, by artist Peter Wolf Toth, standing at the main entrance of the park on State Street and 5100 South. Little Cottonwood Creek
Little Cottonwood Creek is one of the principal streams entering Salt Lake Valley from the east. The creek rises near the summit of the Wasatch Mountains, a short distance south of the ski resort town of Alta, and flows in a westerly direction through Little Cottonwood Canyon until it emerges into Salt Lake Valley about eleven miles from its source. Peter Wolf Toth
Peter Wolf Toth (born December 1947) is a Hungarian-born American sculptor, who immigrated to the United States and settled in Akron, Ohio. He later studied art at the University of Akron. He created a series of sculptures called ''Trail of the Whispering Giants'' to honor Native Americans. Overall, he has created more than 74 sculptures, including at least one in each state of the United States, and in several provinces and territories of Canada. Murray High School is the only high school in the Murray City School District in Murray, Utah.
