Murk (band)
Murk (also known by several other names, including Funky Green Dogs) is a house-music production team composed of Ralph Falcón and Oscar Gaetan. It formed in Miami in 1991. The group had seven consecutive singles that topped Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Career Murk is one of the most influential music label in house music history. It has a vast back catalog of compositions dating from the early 1990s, including "Some Lovin'", "Reach For Me", "Been a long time" and "Every Now and Then," and many newer tracks such as "Fired up!" (#80 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100), "The Way," "Dark Beat," "Doesn't Really Matter," and "Believe." Murk also performed as Funky Green Dogs. The label worked with several vocalists, including Pamala Williams, Tamara Wallace and more. Gaetan and Falcón also released songs under the names Liberty City and Oscar G & Ralph Falcón. ''Murk'' ( da, Mørke) / () is a 2005 Danish horror and psychological thriller film. The film was directed by Jannik Johansen, who wrote the screenplay along with Anders Thomas Jensen. The film stars Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Nicolas Bro. Plot Julie, a wheelchair-user, is said to have committed suicide on her wedding night. Her brother Jacob, who is a journalist, follows her ex-fiance to the Danish village of Mørke. Upon meeting him, Jacob discovers that he is going to marry another handicapped woman. Upon these revelations, Jacob investigates whether Julie's ex-fiance is murdering women who are handicapped. Mirk is an American musical group from Albany, New York, founded in 2009. Their music has been characterized as a cross between the genres of pop, soul, rock, R&B, and hip-hop. Besides writing and performing their own music, Mirk has also been credited with producing music for Jay-Z, Petey Pablo, Eamon, Ciara, Young Jeezy, and Rob Cas among others; several have been certified "Platinum" and "Gold" by the RIAA.
