Murders Of Jacqueline Ansell-Lamb And Barbara Mayo
Jacqueline Susan Ansell-Lamb (21 September 1951 – 14 March 1970) and Barbara Janet Mayo (20 March 1946 – 12 October 1970) were two young women who were murdered in separate incidents in 1970. Both women were last seen hitch-hiking along motorways in England, and both were sexually assaulted before being strangled to death. Although the murders occurred seven months apart and a considerable distance from each other, investigators suspect both murders were committed by the same perpetrator. Links between the two murders are often erroneously reported to have been proven via DNA testing, and although detectives announced in 1990 that the women's murders were likely linked, a DNA profile was not isolated in either case until 1997, and only in the case of Mayo. Mere, Cheshire
Mere is a civil parish and linear village along the old course of the A556 road in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, North West England, about south-west of Altrincham. Bucklow Hill is at its northeast end, and the Mere crossroads is at the southwest end. The village of Mere is about a mile long and has a varied stock of housing. Most houses are large and have ample gardens leading down to the lake; these are along the inner sides of a triangle formed by the A556, A50 and A5034 roads. M6 Motorway
The M6 motorway is the longest motorway in the United Kingdom. It is located entirely within England, running for just over from the Midlands to the border with Scotland. It begins at Junction 19 of the M1 and the western end of the A14 at the Catthorpe Interchange, near Rugby before heading north-west. Ault Hucknall (Old English: ''Hucca's nook of land'') is a village and civil parish in the Bolsover district of Derbyshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 1,053. Local residents describe the settlement as the 'smallest village in England', as it consists of only a church and three houses. The philosopher Thomas Hobbes was interred within Ault Hucknall's St John the Baptist Church following his death in 1679. Catterick () is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The A556 is a road in England which extends from the village of Delamere in Cheshire West and Chester to the Bowdon Interchange in Cheshire East, bordering Greater Manchester.
