Docudrama
Docudrama (or documentary drama) is a genre of television and film, which features dramatized re-enactments of actual events. It is described as a hybrid of documentary and drama and "a fact-based representation of real event". The genre is often criticized for being insensitive to the victims and their families and is described by some as trash culture. History Zhang Yingyu's ''The Book of Swindles'' () is a late Ming dynasty collection of stories about allegedly true cases of fraud. Works in the related Chinese genre of court case fict ...
