Murder Ballad (musical)
''Murder Ballad'' is a musical with music and lyrics by Juliana Nash, and book and lyrics by Julia Jordan. Synopsis ''Murder Ballad'' is about a young woman named Sara who dates a wild bartender named Tom but breaks up with him for Michael, a student at NYU with a more sensible life than Tom's dangerous ways. After getting married and raising a child, Sara starts to long for the old life with Tom. She begins secretly seeing Tom, but as her affair gets more passionate with him, Sara longs to go back to the normal life she had with Michael and her daughter. Julia Jordan
Julia Jordan is an American playwright, television writer, and screenwriter. She is a graduate of Barnard College, class of 1989, and received a master's degree from Trinity College Dublin. Biography Jordan was born in Chicago and spent much of her early life in Minnesota. Later, she would settle in New York City to pursue a life as a painter. However, this did not come to fruition. Upon graduating college, she briefly worked as a CNN copywriter. While attending Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater for acting, she was inspired to begin writing for the stage. Several of Jordan's plays were staged during the late 1990s and early 2000s earning critical praise. In 2000, her short film "The Hat", which she co-directed with Terry Stacey, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and subsequently ran on IFC in 2001–2002. Kerry Ellis
Kerry Jane Ellis (born 6 May 1979) is an English actress and singer who is best known for her work in musical theatre and subsequent crossover into music. Born and raised in Suffolk, Ellis began performing at an early age before training at Laine Theatre Arts from the age of 16. Natalie McQueen (born 1 June 1989) is an English actress known for her performances in a number of UK West End productions including ''Bonnie & Clyde'', ''9 to 5'', '' Kinky Boots'' and ''Wicked''.
