NK Mura
Nogometni klub Mura ( en, Mura Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Mura or simply Mura, was a Slovenian association football club based in Murska Sobota. The club was founded on 16 August 1924 as one of the first clubs in the Prekmurje region. The club had its golden years in the 1990s when they won the Slovenian Football Cup. During this period they were also the runners-up of the Slovenian PrvaLiga on two occasions. They played their home matches at Fazanerija City Stadium. NK Mura was dissolved during the 2004–05 season after the club failed to obtain competition licences issued by the Football Association of Slovenia. The football association had allowed the club to finish the 2004–05 season, which was already in progress, and after finishing eighth in the national championship NK Mura effectively ceased all operations. A modified uniformly redundant array (MURA) is a type of mask used in coded aperture imaging. They were first proposed by Gottesman and Fenimore in 1989. Mathematical Construction of MURAs MURAs can be generated in any length ''L'' that is prime and of the form : L = 4m +1, \ \ m = 1,2,3,..., the first five such values being L = 5,13,17,29,37. Midwestern Universities Research Association
The Midwestern Universities Research Association (MURA) was a collaboration between 15 universities with the goal of designing and building a particle accelerator for the Midwestern United States. It existed between 1953–1967, but could not achieve its goal in this time and lost funding. It was thought that President John F. Kennedy would have supported the MURA machine, while one of President Lyndon B. Johnson's first actions was the shutdown of the MURA machine and laboratory. In its formative years, Donald Kerst was the director of MURA. At this institution, Keith Symon invented the FFAG accelerator, independently to Tihiro Ohkawa, which combines several concepts of cyclotrons and synchrotrons. FFAG concepts were extensively developed in MURA. is a Japanese word meaning "unevenness; irregularity; lack of uniformity; nonuniformity; inequality", and is a key concept in the Toyota Production System (TPS) as one of the three types of waste (''muda'', ''mura'', '' muri''). Waste in this context refers to the wasting of time or resources rather than wasteful by-products and should not be confused with Waste reduction. Toyota adopted these three Japanese words as part of their product improvement program, due to their familiarity in common usage. Mura is a language of Amazonas, Brazil. It is most famous for Pirahã, its sole surviving dialect. Linguistically, it is typified by agglutinativity, a very small phoneme inventory (around 11 compared to around 44 in English), whistled speech, and the use of tone. In the 19th century, there were an estimated 30,000–60,000 Mura. It is now spoken by only 300 Pirahã people in eight villages. Nogometna šola Mura ( en, Mura Football School), commonly referred to as NŠ Mura or simply Mura, is a Slovenian football team, playing in the town of Murska Sobota. Founded in 2012, the team currently plays in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the top tier of Slovenian football. The club's home ground is Fazanerija City Stadium with a capacity of 4,506 seats. The club started competing in the fourth tier of Slovenian football in 2013, and was promoted to the top flight by 2018.
