Municipality Of Slovenske Konjice
The Municipality of Slovenske Konjice ( or ; sl, Občina Slovenske Konjice) is a municipality in the traditional region of Lower Styria, Styria in northeastern Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Slovenske Konjice. Slovenske Konjice became a municipality in 1994. Geography The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. It is the administrative and cultural center of the Dravinja Valley. It spreads over and has a population of 13,600. About from Ljubljana, Graz, or Zagreb, it is easily reachable by the A1 motorway (Slovenia), A1 motorway and via the small airport Slovenske Konjice near Loče, Slovenske Konjice, Loče. It is known for its curative mineral water, spa town, spa, and Lead glass, crystal glass. Name The name ''Rogaška Slatina'' literally means 'Rogatec springs', referring to a source of mineral water. The springs were dubbed ''Roitschocrene'' 'Rogatec springs' (< Greek κρήνη ''crene'' 'spring') in 1687 by Johann Benedikt Gründel. The settlement was known as ''Rohitsch-Sauerbrunn'' or ''Sauerbrunn Curort'' in German (and in older sources also ''Roitscher Sauerbrunn''). Slovenska Bistrica (; german: Windisch-Feistritz) is a town south of Maribor in eastern Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Slovenska Bistrica, one of the largest municipalities in Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria.
