The Municipality of Hunter's Hill is a local government area on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The municipality was first proclaimed in 1861, which includes the suburbs of Hunters Hill, Woolwich, Huntleys Point, Tarban, Henley and part of Gladesville. As at the , the Municipality had an estimated population of . At , the Municipality is, by area, the smallest local government area in New South Wales and its boundaries remain mostly unaltered since its proclamation in 1861. A 2015 review of local government boundaries by the NSW Government Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal recommended that the Municipality of Hunter's Hill merge with adjoining councils. The Garibaldi is a heritage-listed former retail building, residence and inn and now retail building at Ferry Street, Hunters Hill, Municipality of Hunter's Hill, New South Wales, Australia. Hestock
Hestock is a heritage-listed residence located at 14 Crescent Street, Hunters Hill in the Municipality of Hunter's Hill local government area in New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Walter Liberty Vernon and built during 1885. It is also known as Le Chalet. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. History The land Hestock stands on was originally part of the Passy Estate, a landholding of considerable extent stretching from what is now Woolwich Road to Alexandra Bay between Ferry and Crescent Streets. Between 1855 and 1857 Passy, a substantial stone villa, was built for Monsieur Louis Sentis the French Consul at the time. Sentis sold shortly afterward to Edye Manning. Milthorpe is a heritage-listed residence located at 12 Crescent Street, Hunters Hill in the Municipality of Hunter's Hill local government area of New South Wales, Australia.
