The Municipal President of Chihuahua (mayor) is the head of local government of Chihuahua Municipality, in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Chihuahua Municipality
Chihuahua is one of the 67 municipalities of Chihuahua, in northern Mexico. The municipal seat is the city of Chihuahua which is also the capital of Chihuahua State. As of 2010, the municipality had a total population of 819,543, up from 758,791 as of 2005. It covers an area of 9219.30 km². As of 2010, the city of Chihuahua had a population of 809,232, up from 748,551 as of 2005. María Eugenia Campos Galván (born 11 September 1975), commonly known as Maru Campos, is a Mexican politician from the National Action Party (PAN) who serves as the current Governor of Chihuahua. From 2006 to 2009, she served as a deputy of the LX Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Chihuahua.
