Frans De Munck
Frans de Munck (20 August 1922 – 24 December 2010) was a Dutch footballer and football manager. Nicknamed ''The Black Panther'' due to his black hair, jersey and cat-like reflexes, De Munck helped VV DOS from Utrecht win the Eredivisie title in 1958, and Fortuna '54 win the KNVB Cup in 1957. For four years, he played for German top division club 1. FC Köln. Between 1949 and 1960, he gained 31 caps for the Netherlands national team. Adolf Fredrik, Count Munck ( Mikkeli, Finland, 28 April 1749 – Massa, Italy, 18 July 1831), was a Swedish and Finnish noble during the Gustavian era. His family name is sometimes inaccurately given as "Munck af Fulkila" because his father usurped this family's title in the Swedish Diet but, as a matter of fact, without genealogical justification. Biography Adolf Fredrik Munck was born to Anders Erik Munck (1720 Skaraborg - 4 September 1779) and Hedvig Juliana Wright (1729 - Lojo 30 December 1808), whom he had wed at St. Michel's then country church on 15 November 1747. The couple first lived in the second lieutenant's homestead Tarkia, part of the Rantakylä manor, in Mikkeli, and this is the birthplace of their son Adolf Fredrik. Lieutenant General '' Friherre'' Bror Oliver Claes Munck af Fulkila (21 October 1857 – 18 July 1935) was a Swedish Army officer. Munck served as commanding officer of the Crown Prince's Hussar Regiment, the Life Guards of Horse, as the Inspector of the Cavalry and as commanding officer of the 3rd Army Division. He is also known as the organizer and head of the so-called Munckska kåren, a secret right-wing paramilitary group. Sverre Munthe-Kaas Munck (5 July 1898 – 26 January 1970) was a Norwegian businessperson. Early life and career He was born in Høvik as the son of dean Oskar Albert Munck (1868–1956) and Mathilde Munthe-Kaas (1871–1906). He was also a great-grandson of Johan Storm Munch. He grew up in Øygarden, took his examen artium at Frogner School in 1916 and a degree in electrical engineering at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1921. The company Munck Cranes (Sverre Munck A/S) was founded on 25 October 1924 by Mr. Sverre Munck. He was educated as an electrical engineer at the University of Trondheim, Norway. The company initially started as a trading company with products ranging from fuses and light bulbs to escalators, elevators and electric wire rope hoists, the latter being of foreign make. Johan Munck (born 7 February 1943) is a Swedish lawyer and former President of the Supreme Court of Sweden (2007–2010). Since 2010, he is the editor of the Swedish code of laws. Career Johan Munck was born in Malmö, Skåne County, the adopted son of the lawyer and former mayor of Malmö Thomas Munck af Rosenschöld. Joseph de Munck was a Belgian Catholic Priest of the Redemptorist Order noted for his historical research relating to the Old Kingdom of Kongo. In many ways de Munck was the successor to Jean Cuvelier, whose work with documents and oral traditions made him one of the great historians of the kingdom. De Munck was particularly fond of the Kikongo languages, at times even keeping his personal notes in that language.
