Muna (Mikulovice)
The Muna site is a former Prisoner-of-war camp, POW camp from World War II, ammunition factory and storage plant in the neighborhood of Mikulovice (Jeseník District), Mikulovice (Czech Republic) close to the border of the Czech Republic and Poland. Nowadays, the forested region serves as an industrial park and an area of informal group of non-profit organizations Městečko neziskových organizací Muna, Městečko neziskových organizací. There are 145 buildings of various sizes and age in the area of about 200 hectare, ha, most of them are heavily damaged or completely ruined. The National Security Corps ( cz, Sbor národní bezpečnosti; SNB; sk, Zbor národnej bezpečnosti; ZNB) was the national police in Czechoslovakia from 1945 to 1991. History At the end of World War II, on April 4, 1945, Edvard Beneš headed the first postwar government at Košice, dominated by the three socialist parties, including the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ). The SNB was established by the coalition government as part of the Ministry of the Interior during a meeting in Košice on April 17, replacing the traditional police and gendarmes. The KSČ gained control of the Ministry of Interior when Václav Nosek was appointed minister and began converting the security forces into arms of the party. Jeseník District
Jeseník District ( cs, okres Jeseník) is a district ('' okres'') in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. Its seat is the town of Jeseník. With approximately 38,000 inhabitants it is the least populated district of the Czech Republic. The area called Jeseníky region is in the most northern bulge of Silesia and Moravia. Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins with the indigenous people of North America as early as the 12th century. Junák – český skaut (''Junák – Czech Scouting''), is the internationally recognized organization of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic. Founded in 1911, Junák – český skaut is the largest organisation of children and youth in the nation, with a membership of 73,315 (as of 2022). Hnutí Brontosaurus (- Czech, translated to English as ''The Brontosaurus Movement'') is a large nature conservation group in the Czech Republic concentrated on the youth. Brontosaurus was founded in 1974, being the first such an organization in Czechoslovakia. It was named after ''Brontosaurus'', name which was at the time widely used as a synonym for dinosaur among the Czechs. The chosen name was to remind the fate of dinosaurs, which died out during the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. The founders were several young enthusiasts from the Institute of Landscape Ecology of Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. Their preparations had started in 1972. The plan was covered in a popular journal for the youth, Mladý Svět, whose illustrator Vladimír Jiránek sketched the logo.
